hi there i bought a dress nearly 3 weeks ago and have been planning to take it back as its too small, but the nearest miss selfridge is a long way from us, anyway we are going tomorrow and i have searched all night for the reciept and cannot find it anywhere, the dress still has the tags on so will the shop exchange for something else or give me a credit note or refuse to take it back
cant believe i cant find it, i always put reciepts in a safe place and have some going back years but cant find this one!! many thanks, i have looked on their website for info but it all seems to be about online purchases and i bought the dress instore.

Do you have a credit card or bank statement with the purchase on?

If you paid part cash, part giftcard then maybe try and find out the person that sold to you and if they remember you may get lucky. But no, no obligation by the company if you have no POP.Don't trust a forum for advice. Get proper paid advice. Any advice given should always be checked0

As you're travelling a long way, I'd phone the store up that you're visiting, explain that you'd like an exchange as it's too small (i.e. you're not wanting a refund) but have lost the receipt, and ask if they've got it in stock.
(I presume it still has the tag in??)Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -

With or without a reciept they have no legal obligation to take it back, swap it, or credit it
but providing you dont cop an attitude they probably willWhen will the "Edit" and "Quote" button get fixed on the mobile web interface?0
