How do they get the email without visiting the site?

It's for the many and not the few. Be sure it's out there looking for you.

Its just jealousy really isn't it. Whats really upset me today is a few posts about Martins wife, so Ive reported them. Some people are just so horrid.

What!? That's disgusting :( You'd think Martin was after the souls of their firstborn going by the way some people are reacting to a business decision :undecided

Whilst a commercial company mightn't necessarily be my first port of call for impartial information, I do know this site makes money (what suprised me was that a lot of people didn't appear to?). The only real thing that is going to change is the fact that the skimlinks/affiliate income is going to be deposited in a different bank account and I know that it could only ever backfire on MSM if they were to change the way this forum is run - we, the users, are a huge resource, we are how they generate their income; to alienate us would be foolhardy.

When I discovered the forum, it was as a search result when I'd googled something. The main site never featured in the results.

Then the sidebar (you know, the one that noone likes :A) has a module with the latest deals and a box to subscribe.

Never have and never will trust Martin Lewis, and this really just proves why.

He's not a nice person, he's only bothered about himself and no one else. And yes I do know.
why on earth are you on his site then?

I sincerely hope that after the 3 years things continue to stay the same but like Fifer I have my doubts too. As I said on a previous thread every single site I've ever been on eventually changes once it's bought out, and rarely for the better.

I'm with Fifer, I too find it hard to believe that most forumites don't use the main site. Marley & I are known to be regulars in the forum, but in our personal life we make frequent reference to the guidance on the main site - how to seek and obtain the best utility deals, insurance quotes, how to check credit references, and of course the deals & vouchers. Are there really people who only come here to chat? *insert confused smiley*

I'd think that would place you in a minority of forumites, but maybe I'm wrong.

What part is the main bit?

Not all, no. Some people are genuinely concerned that this place, that they consider a home, will change beyond compare. They are scared that they'll be charged and they are scared that the people who post on here, that they consider to be friends, will disappear.

How do you know how many forumites use the main site? You don't have to be logged in to use the main site, and I very rarely am (if ever) logged in when I use it.
Birthdays are good for you. Statistics show that the people who have the most live the longest.

I'm not jealous at all but I am concerned that the place will change. I also think that ML has lost credibility now.

If posters are posting things about his wife or name calling then they should be ashamed of themselves.
