Evening all,
Happy birthday to birthday boys!
FS...congratulations to your DS.
Tru....sorry to hear about your friend...
Judi, don't go anywhere you don't want to go!
Must be a time for being fed up with partners....OH is driving me nuts talking about dying, have told him to either do it or shut up about it...was that unkind?? He has always been particularly clumsy and careless with things, so I now follow up on him and gather up the tools he has left thrown around, at least I can then find them the next time they are needed.
Have had a good if tiring weekend, DD2 and her 2 little girls have been here since Wednesday, DD1, DDIL and DGD2 were here last night....we all went to a bbq in DS3's...good night and enough food to feed an army.
Bank holidays no longer matter to me as I don't have to work, enjoy your double one everybody.

Sorry for the little moan earlier folks. Bitsy it would be easier for him to move to Canada as he holds a Canadian passport but i think he would rather be anywhere rather than in the UK at the moment.
The day went well considering. I shut myself away and watched the jubilee procession. When the country is in such doom and gloom its lovely to have something to celebrate.
Apart from doing the mens breakfasts this morning ive done absolutely nothing else and i dont intend to do much tomorrow either.
Heres hoping tomorrows a better day for me.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
tru (((hugs))) you sound really down in the dumps honey I'm sorry to hear of you friends sad news and I can understand how everything seems to be on top of you at the moment Your OH probably can't do right for doing wrong at the moment When you get the black dog days then everything seems to irritate you, and judi don't decide anything that quickly, no matter how much he thows his dummy out of the pram.Men get ideas into their heads and thing everything will be better if only you moved/went on holiday /had a baby/or even bought a new car, best thing to do is humour them after all men are just grown up toddlers at heart.
I told my two DDs years ago when they got married the best way to manage a fella and get him to do what you want (shhh hope no chaps are reading this ) if for example you want something done in the house then bring the conversation around to how well he did it before i.e. decorating .Say 'Remember when you decorated the bedroon/sitting room/bathroom whatever what a great job you made of it .I only wish I was as good at doing that sort of theing ' but phrase it with a little subtlety, not too heavy with the praise but just enough to put the idea into his head and within a short while hopefully he may say 'you know what do you think if I did this room out ';)
It worked for me for almost 40 odd years My Mum told me how she managed my Dad for donkeys years simply but putting the germ of an idea into his head .its stick and carrot job really.I never nagged when I wanted something done I just told him how well he had done it previously:)
As to moving thousands of miles well try to make him be glad he's living in this country, life isn't always greener no matter where you go.
I watched some of the pageant today and was thinking how lovely that even though the weather was rubbish and still folk turned out with smiles on their faces to see HM sail up the Thames. It was the British at our best and its makes me feel quite proud to be a citizen of the greatest country in the world, probably why so many folk come to visit us for holidays. There is no better place in the world than this country for all its faults and rotten weather the fact that we can all still smile at a little old lady on a boat sailing up the Thames in the rain, and didn't she look smart .My DGS said look granny she's doing a little dance and sure enough her Charles and her OH looked so happy they were jigging along to the music.:D
Well DGS Henry enjoyed his birthday even though he couldn't use his Swingball set because of the rain so we all went off to the cinema and saw Men in Black pure boys fun film yet we all enjoyed it and then Henry choose that his dinner would be a KFC as he gets to choose his birthday dinner so the leg of lamb will be done tomorrow for dinner .
When we came home we all sat and caught up with the Jubilee stuff on t.v. Both Henry and Mikey will always remember the Jubilee as its their joint birthday weekend:D
I'm now off to watch a bit of t.v. and put my feet up.
Good night God bless all here

Morning All, not raining here at moment but it has been. I am off to see if any brave souls have decided to do a car boot, local one only five minutes walk from me so worth a go. I am trying to replace a small slow cooker which I broke. Why is it that when you really want something you never seem to see it, but see loads when you dont need it.
Hope everyone has a lovely Sunday.
