Im going to get to the samsung galaxy s3, which has a value of approx £500, all im looking for is insurance which will pay up for loss or theft, without squabbling over things!
There are so many get out clauses, im now thinking is there any point!
I am scared about getting such an expensive phone without insurance, but I am at a loss of where to go, for all round fair cover, for loss or theft, is there any point or am I just wasting my money?
One of my friends has lost his iphone when hes been drunk more times than I can remember, his inurance is through his network, and they just send him a replacement.
The phone I want is so much more expensive through the networks than I can get it for at phones4u and that is what is stopping me taking out no quibble network insurance.
I am not really bothered about the cost of the insurance, as long as I know I am getting value for money, and I am covered if I loose it or it is stolen, under any situation, can anyone please advise me of a reputable company or your opinions on this matter.
Many thanks

For other opinions see Martin's article Mobile Phone Insurance and this thread: Spill the beans... on mobile phone insurers0 -
Looking at the article on here about phone insurance, networks charge about £150 a year. So for two years, it'd cost £300 insurance. Then if you claim, if they will pay out, there is a £50 excess! It doesn't seem worth it to me.
You might want to check out the Co-op Bank's Priviledge account as that covers 4 mobile phones and family worldwide travel insurance for £9.50 a month.0 -
thanks for your replies, I have had mobile phones for 15 years, in the 15 years. I left one on a bar top and was stolen, and another was snatched from my hand, so clearly on the whole I do take good care of my phones, however I am finding when reading the terms and conditions and peoples reviews, (would not pay out for loss when left in a taxi as the person was being negligent) they will wriggle out of paying for virtually anything!
The deal is thru phones4u and the network is orange, so il check the insurance policy from orange and see if there actually any better than what I have seen up to now, and then make a decision. Thanks again0
