Washing powder, best buy?

We tend to do about 6 washes a week in our house and I always feel that I am paying over the odds when I buy a standard box of washing powder of say 15/25 washes for £5 for example. Which ones do people buy? I have been looking at Aldi Almat £3.29 for 30 washes, and it seems to have won awards, I am keen on a larger pack or a multibuy to get best deal? Please can people post here what ones they buy? I am off shopping this afternoon so need to know where to go!
CC limits £26000
Long term CC debt £0
Total low rate loan debt £3000
Almost debt free feeling, priceless.
Ex money nightmare, learnt from my mistakes and never going back there again, in control of my finances for the first time in my adult life and it feels amazing.

You are welcome . I was dubious when i bought it then went i went into work and told my workmates one uses it and the other's sister does. They also make it in black/yellow bottle too. But red smells nicer.0 -
Aldi Almat switched from DAZ which is twice the price, and almat does a better job, also convinced neighbours to switch to it aswell, by giving them some to try and as the daughter has a skin condition she has to be careful which washing powder they use, and she has no problems with Almat NON-BIO.
small note: dont use what they tell you to use on the pack use less.
cleans better than Daz, makes the washing softer aswell,
aldi's also do a bigger box 100 washes for a £10 when they have it in.0 -
brilliant thanks guys will just get a small box for now and will either get a big Almat when I can find it or a big Persil!

I must try the almat but I do use the Lidl Formil non-bio and get on great with that so a good one to look out for. £6.49 for 60 wash box at full price but currently on offer for £5.95. Also on weekend deal very occasionally so keep eyes open for that. got loads last year at £3.24 a box and lasted me ages.3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!

Love Lidl Formil and use half the amount as suggested on this site :T0

I don't have a lidl or Aldi near enough (live in TOWIE territory) but I buy whatever washing powder, liquid or gel is on a decent offer of half price or less and I have money off coupons for or some other kind of voucher code etc if it's an online shop. Recently there have been great offers on persil, Ariel, bold and fairy just because of them slightly tweaking the packaging (number of washes per pack etc) and wanting to get rid of the old stock. I also got three boxes of daz from ocado as they were reduced to £3 for 25 washes, I know I can get 40-50 washes out of that as daz is pretty strong, also it's very rarely on offer so thought I'd snap it up xx0
