you can extend the auctions that have no bids, make them 10 days instead of 7.... just a thought.

Make your own Pot Noodles using a flower pot, sawdust and some old shoe laces. Pour in boiling water, stir then allow to stand for two minutes before taking one mouthful, and throwing away. Just like the real thing!

oh, sorry, i didn't know that. is it still possible to do it though? if there are no watchers i wouldn't think it would matter.

Always put things on a 10-day auction, starting Thurs/Fri/early Sat, in order to have a full two weekends for your potential market to browse listings at leisure(those that have weekends free being more numerous).
Also, although it seems against logic, ALWAYS relist unsold items straightaway, obeying the timing schedule above.
Finally(to complete the basic ebay wisdom trilogy, very kindly offered to me by a carbooter a year or two back), never complete Seller Feedback until Buyer feedback is in place.
Good luck in the infuriating(at times), but also wonderful virtual world of ebay.

Keep a listing fees printout handy, until you know it by heart(AND KEEP UP TO DATE ON CHANGES, E.G. bOOK DEALERS ARE VERY CROSS AT PRESENT RE:IMMINENT RAISED CHARGES ).
You will suddenly see why so many items are listed at £X.99...

i had a wee search before i listed them and some sold for about £4.50. but still no bids on mine and it ends tomorrow. if they don't sell will i be able to get my fees waivered?

You cannot get your fees back if the items don't sell. if however you started at 1p your basic listing fees for each auction would have been 15p, so as long as you didn't list hundreds your actual losses won't be massive.

Good luck for your sales this evening.

If you relist using the same template *and* if it sells the second time you will get the second set of basic listing fees back but not any extras and not the original listing fees.

A lot of the time I don't relist as I work on the principle if it doesn't sell first time it won't sell second. I leave those items in my turbo lister ready to be relisted once there is a cheap listing day.

  • Change your postage and packing price to cover your costs. You can still do this at any time during the auction as long as the item doesnt have a bid yet.The minute you have a bid its too late to change any of the pricing details.Weigh the item using good kitchen scales if you dont have digital ones and check postage costs acurately on https://www.royalmail.com on their postage calculator.REMEMBER TO WEIGH THE ITEM IN ITS PACKAGING AS THIS TOTAL WEIGHT CAN ADD A BIT TO THE POSTAGE COST.USE 1ST CLASS, ITS ONLY PENCE MORE EXPENSIVE, THE BUYER PAYS FOR IT ANYWAY, ITS A BETTER QUICKER SERVICE AND WILL GET YOU BETTER FEEDBACK.
DONT WORRY ABOUT NOT HAVING BIDS WITH 1 DAY TO GO.LOADS OF PEOPLE USE TACTICAL BIDDING WHERE THEY WAIT UNTIL THE VERY LAST MINUTE TO TRY TO GET THE ITEM AT AS LOW A PRICE AS POSSIBLE.
GOOD LUCK SELLING.EBAY IS FABULOUS!!!ENJOY IT!!!
