Hi GBS, just wanted to say well done for getting this far and good luck with the job application.
You're the best judge of whether to tell your OH about the debts and how much to tell.
One thing to consider though, is that you are quite some partner to stay in a marriage with someone who has enduring mental health problems and who has used violence in the past. Neither you nor your OH should take this for granted. It's a known fact that he's only human and you still love him and stay with him, how about him cutting you the same slack?
As stated, I have no view on whether you should tell him or not. Just wanted to remind you that he owes you a big debt of goodwill.

Gottabstrong, no-one has mentioned it yet, but if you go to see your local CAB or independent advice agency, they will help you with stuff like writing to your creditors to ask them to accept a £1 a month. PM me if you are in London as I know a good place!
