Just watched the Citygo advert. I guess skoda don't think their image is any better than it used to be. The Citigo, now made by Sk(odd)a, not Sk(oe)da anymore. I don't think it will fool anyone.

I just went to the Skoda UK website to look for the advert. There is a link to 'View the TV Ads' but this just gives a 403 error. Oh dear, even the website won't start...

Edit: I should perhaps add that I'm a very happy Skoda owner, so not against the company!

Bit harsh! They've just got a Czech guy to say the strap line.

The French don't pronounce it "Pariss".

We're Czech, not German, seems an even bigger shift.

Is this the Anastasia one? It sounds like the name has been pronunced correctly this time as it's normally wrong when spoken here as people miss the SH digraph at the start. The little symbol above the S means it's pronunced Shk at the start not Sk as most people tend to say it.

Its supposed to be Shkoda like Skol lager is Shkol.

In the UK its just been mispronounced for the last 30 years.

New car has had some very good reviews and been preselling well at dealers. Its not cheap but dont think many new cars are these days.

Judging by the amount of issues arising with VW, Audi and BMW cars, I can fully-understand why Skoda want to try and distance themselves by promoting themselves as a Czech company rather than German.

    Who makes these?

Just made the effort to watch the 4 videos, nothing about the car just connectivity.
Looks like 10% less than the VW same car.

Know what you mean about German engineering, its not all its cracked up to be. Glad i bought VAS to clear and prog the faults, never leave home without it.
