The best ones I've ever found are not leather (leather will cut into you more if your dog pulls) but padded webbing I use Haltis own ones which are really well padded. I use it on 35 kilo og Golden Retriever and 25 kilo of excitable lab puppy. Dont get much problems with it cutting

Ohh Halti or Dogmatic, now I like Halti... but I also like Dogmatic...

There's only one way to find out! :D

The collar I ordered online arrived this morning and it is awful. That will teach me!!

I picked up the lead earlier and it is just as good as the one I already have, not used it yet but looks and feels the same so can't see there being any problems.

I've heard great things about the rogz range but have only felt the collars which were very sturdy

I used to think that leather for collar and lead was the best... until Oakley snapped his beautiful rolled handmade leather collar. I have a webbing training lead and recently got a dogmatic leather-look one - here
    Brilliant quality and fantastic value!!

Do you think the Dogmatic one is going to be strong enough? It looks very thin, but the clips look sturdy.

I bought a so-called hand made leather one from ebay, and it was riveted rather than stitched. Broke first time out. So far the dogmatic one is fine with Oakley, and if it can hold 54kg of sold shepherd.... I think it'll be fine :)

It's actually thicker than it looks, but not too thick. I have more leads than Clouseau, and a lot of them just stay in the cupboard, but i really like this one (and use it)... and at that price it's a steal!

Yeah I might try one of those. I just worry if it does snap, especially if we are in a field of cows! Tyson is nearly 40kg now, he is getting tubby!

Need to slim him down a bit again so it doesn't make his legs worse.

My dogmatic one is the full leather, not the synthetic and it is incredibly sturdy.

Casper is 40kg and the Halti lead is fine with him. I've even had both dogs clipped to the same lead a couple of times, so about 75kg combined.
