Sky Broadband Connect now £5pm

I've searched for this but did not found anything, but it's so important, it warrants a second post anyway.
If you've signed up for Sky Broadband Connect (£17pm) in anticipation of LLU being enabled at your BT Exchange, as I did, you should now be able to cut that £17 to £5.
New subscribers to Sky Broadband who are not on an LLU enabled exchange are now being offered Sky Broadband Connect for £5 reduced from the previous £17.
But if you have already subscribed, there is no reason why you cannot contact Sky and get your fee reduced to the new £5pm rate. Sky don't appear to be doing this automatically, so it may mean a call to their Broadband Customer Service line 08705 515515 (Option 1 then Option 5).
I phone them today, and they should be making the change. To double check for your line goto;
http://check.skybroadband.com/ key in your phone number and see first if you can get the 'free' Broadband, or second if you can get Sky Broadband Connect for £5.
The original idea was that Sky would provide you with Broadband for £17pm, then when your Exchange was upgraded they would automatically transfer you and reduce the fee to £5pm. Then you could choose your package Base £0pm, Mid £5pm, Max £10pm. But now they will simply charge you the Mid rate from the outset.
Of course, you will have to be a Sky TV subscriber to qualify, and there is a connection fee, but the modem is free.

I have checked on the site and our exchange is not currently LLU enabled and there is no indication that it will be upgraded soon (price comes up as £17)
My question is can I find out when our exchange (Crosshands) is due for the upgrade - I'd hate to sign up for a 12 month contract somewhere else is it will be available at the cheaper price in a few months time.comping since august 2007, wins so far.....none! :rotfl:0 -

Sky dont have any exchanges waiting to be enabled by the look of things.
