Thanks to Wealdroam, as quoted to my credit card company re visa chargeback and they are taking on the dispute and say I will have my money in my account in 4-5 days. I couldnt use sec 75 as not over £100 .So thanks for advice. To others who ordered in March from KGB you only have 120 days to dispute so get onto it. Thanks again to forum users great0

Unfortunately mine was through PayPal so am a bit stumped (45 days allowed by them are up and my bank will just get money back from PayPal so I will end up being in dispute with them as transaction was done in good faith).
Just called the Gizmo.biz registered office - serious Googling - but they can't give the number due to data protection - and say they only can if they are contacted by the police. This is the number anyway 0207 608 5555. The old Gizmo number is just an answer machine and no answer - it used to be on their website but has been taken down. I found it through a cached KGB page and it is 08442 725354.
I am pressurising KGB to help me - as far as I am concerned they are equally liable to be honest. Have threatened going to the OFT and Watchdog - which I will if I don't hear anything. Good luck!0 -
Runningfool, just tried calling the 0207 number you posted again, they also said the only way they could provide further information was if the police got involved.
I will definitely be taking this further, I hope others do also.0 -
Good luck kewpie
I tried 118 again on Friday (029 2054 8000). I just said straight away that I needed someone from KGB to call me urgently and that I was extremely unhappy - to put it politely - and again someone did call me back. I was told that to 'escalate it further' to could now take up to six days for a reply. I told the lass on the phone that this was not acceptable as it had been going on for months, I had mailed and spoken to them frequently and that Gizmo have had my money - and other's money too.
I also made it clear that I felt KGB were partially responsible as they marketed Gizmo via their deal and entered into business with them and I asked for it to be done sooner. I then got an email from KGB saying that it could take up to six days for a reply - so essentially they took no notice. In my opinion this is another delaying tactic so will not hold my breath and will be forwarding all correspondence to the OFT.
How much interest is being gained from all our postage by Gizmo I wonder...? Fuming.0 -
Has anyone received their ottoman yet? I've been informed that they've now all been sent out (this is the fourth time I've been told this in the last few months). If anyone has received theirs please let me know.0

Don't mean to Hijack - so apologies if it is - but I wouldn't recommend anyone uses KGB at all. The ASA have upheld complaints against them for ages - another load this week https://www.asa.org.uk and click on adjudications0

I too fell victim of this 'deal' I purchased on the 20th March, didn't hear anything from gizmo biz I contacted KGB to which they kept giving me false delievery dates, on the 11th June I received yet another email saying that it was now in stock (Iwas never told it was out of stock) I told KGB that I wanted a refund, their reply was that I need to cancel my order with the merchant before I can get a full refund, to which my reply was if I could get hold of the merchant then I wouldn't be in contact with KGB, I then said that I would not be paying delivery charges as they are clearly taking the mickey, they told me that I needed to get hold of the merchant, erm hello!!!! It's funny how KGB can get hold of Gizmobiz but for their customers it's impossible.
Anyway, my ottoman finally turned up today, I opened the lid and it fell off!!! Fuming isn't even the word! Does anyone have a number for either KGB or Gizmobiz that works? Gizmobiz's address is about 20 minutes from my house, I think for me that might be my best bet????
Any advise?:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:0 -
I too purchased the ottoman back in march. After contacting KGB and gizmo countless times I finally receive an email from KGB . Finally my ottiman arrived today . But it's ripped at the seam, also it doesn't open. I thought that they were supposed to open. Can anyone tell me if there's open . Thanks0

Mine opens, but the first time it opened the srews were so scruffly 'screwed' into the mdf that it just fell off!0

Well, the six days quoted by KGB to hear back from the merchant have now passed and unsurprisingly have heard nothing. Have emailed numerous times and have called the 118 118 number again to get a message to KGB to call me back (which has worked in the past - they must get lots of calls like this). As yet no call back this time. Have emailed Watchdog and local contacted local CAB - prior to OFT. If anyone else has any suggestions that would be fabulous! I just find it absolutely criminal that Gizmo have my money - and will not return it. More fool me - don't get something for nothing in this life.
Everyone should get on to KGB about this - as they went into partnership with Gizmo and promoted them, in my opinion they are partly liable. The more people do it the more they may listen - you never know... grrr...0
