How much will you be spending on your mum this year?
I've just filled in a survey (where you can win a big bouquet of flowers delivered to your mum on sunday morning) asking a few questions about how much i'll be spending.
If anyone else is interested, the mothers day money spending survey is here www.choosemoney.co.uk/survey/mothersday.html and it only took a minute or so to complete.
My total was only £25. Am I the cheapest son in Britain? lol

Well I'm taking my mum out to lunch. We're going to my local pub - so my outlay is even lower at about £15 - I just know we'll end up having a pudding too!
Plus - it means I too get taken out to lunch and therefore no cooking and washing up for me! My two sisters are coming too - so should be lovely for Mum to have us all there together. Oh dear; £11 on a pair of silver earings. Am I a cheapskate?! :rolleyes:0

I got my mum a hardback book that she will enjoy (shopped around and found it half price in WHS) and a box of her fave chocs dark all gold (again found them half price in Woolies - great offer as the half size box cost more than the ones I got!)
Its not what you spend but the thought. I am sure your mum will love her earrings. I know mine will lover her book whilst munching her chocs.Boots Card - £17.53, Nectar Points - £15.06 - *Saving for Chrimbo*2015 Savings Fund - £2575.000 -
My family has never spent much on each other for special occasions, for mothers day it'll be another one of my homemade cards and a bunch of flowers from the local asda, assuming I can't find free flowers anywhere! :j
...So probably about £3.99!I am not really an Eskimo. I can hear what you're thinking... "Inuit!"0 -

£7.69 each!
Bought each of them a large toiletry gift set worth £20 that were reduced to £5 each after Christmas. Then saw some retro mugs in Asda with a daft slogan on for £2 each and bought a small box of Bendicks chocs to fit in the mugs for 69p.Here I go again on my own....0 -
Not sure about this year yet but last year I brought some cheap terracotta pots from Wilkinsons, 2 small conifers, a pot of irises and a tray of primula. I made 2 filled pots for mum and mil plus I had a small pot of irises and primula for my garden all for less than £10.
Its not about how much you spend, its about what you do with it - quality not quantity
I've already got some pansies left so I might see if I can get a cheap pot of miniture daffs and a hanging basket from the 99p. I'll need a pot for my mum as she is not a fan of baskets.7 Angel Bears for LovingHands Autumn Challenge. 10 KYSTGYSES. 3 and 3/4 (ran out of wool) small blanket/large square, 2 premie blankets, 2 Angel Claire Bodywarmers0 -

I set myself a budget of about £15 and went to Next and bought some perfume for £5 and an earrings and necklace set for £10.00 - bargain I thought. She is my mum after all - does my washing and ironing for me day in, day out....oh and she cooks for me......
Thats priceless......0
