I wonder how much bad advice YOU have given over the years which have ultimately cost people their life savings?

    None.
If YOU where Chancellor it is pretty obvious Pensioners would be your last priority.

No. I just think that people that rant and rave without knowing the facts and then spout off more rubbish without discussing them are fools. I don't tolerate fools lightly.
Just remember, when YOU are a Pensioner see how YOU feel then about being hundreds of pounds a year out of pocket because of the FROZEN Granny Tax.

I wont be as the personal allowance will be equalised by then and unlike you, I will have to wait 2-3 years longer to get that state pension too.
I have sent the moderator team 3 e. mails asking advice on this with not even the courtesy of a reply.
If you speak to them how you have responded to us then it is no wonder.
I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.

You've heard the budget speech now you've been told. Make lots of cash then die before you're old 'Cause we're gonna Tax Gran that's what it is We're gonna Tax Gran freeze her allowances. You better hope next winter isn't cold. We're gonna Tax Gran, we're glad she's there. To subsidize the Billionaires. We're gonna Tax Gran and this is wrong!

And you are bad at remaining on subject and addressing issues raised.
'You are on my ignore list'. O.K.?

Please stick me on it too, as you're clearly not worth the time of day.

What a completely ignorant and useless political rant.

You don't even understand the material here.

There is no tax, the allowance is just being frozen. Most other countries don't have a higher allowance for pensioners. I am in favor of the new larger allowance for all.

    It is the fairest system.

But not, as the OP claimed, "FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!"

The personal allowance is being harmonised, which is - as you say - fairer, and also removes a nasty 30% tax band due to age related allowance "claw back".
the new larger allowance for all

I'm also in favour of that, but my personal allowance has been missing in action for several years and there is now little chance of it returning.

At the Budget George Osborne FROZE the Elderly Tax Allowance FOREVER so that it dies on the vine.

    You Tube Budget Day.....

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4yDqFvVBNK4

Look at it very carefully and the Elderly Tax Allowance will be gone FOREVER once the lower band catches up to £10,500 a year present allowance.

FROZEN in time, never to return

    FOREVER...always; eternally;;)

Yes, but what you said was "George Osborne 'FROZE' the Elderly Tax Allowance at £10,500 forever"

Do you perhaps notice that what you said earlier was, 1) different to what you've just said, 2) wrong?

If you can accept that this part of your original diatribe was wrong, then we can move onto other parts of it.

You will never save a Pensioner any money, that is for sure.;)

I shall let my 80+ parents know of your sentiments whilst also letting them know that their ISAs have now transferred over, with my help, to accounts which now pay around 2.9%pa more. Probably earns them around £700pa more.

As to the supposed "granny-tax", my mum pays no tax so will not be affected. However my aunt and dad who will be affected and had read the usual over-the-top tabloid press reports, were totally happy when it was properly explained to them. My dad was much happier as he won't be subject to the 30% tax clawback and probably means that he can finally get rid of his tax returns - also saved him a bit on that as he had mistakenly put my mum's interest onto his tax return and was being taxed extra for gross interest.

Really think you should stick to the boozin and cruisin as that seems to be your forte.
