another fan of lidl's flour here, the improver really helps (presumably vit c, i add this to all naff bread flours now). i use the yeast which comes in a tin, it's good if you don't always use a whole sachet and i think it lasts longer/works out cheaper

Morning all. OH is getting the keys for the flat today but I won't be able to see it until sunday as I'm still with family. We've gotta pay £100 for a man in a van to help us move  I know I could have got it for half that if I'd just used someone looking for extra cash at the weekend but I'd rather be safe and insured. Got a big chest of drawers that needs sorting out and had little progress with the table so shabby chic here I come!

    Happy birthday Mikey _party_
DH has a dentist appointment today and has to have a tooth out. I have fed him some pork chops, chips and sweetcorn, because he will be on mush for the rest of the week, poor baby he loves his grub.
DS and DD at college and so I have half an hour's peace until my ickle gummy bear comes home and needs some TLC. i will just send him to bed until 3pm, he is insisting on going into work for the evening shift, so if DS is home by then I think that I will send him to help his Dad.

Hello my lovely ladies, long time no see, my fault.
Cloudy but muggy here. Had a shower of rain a little while ago and my line of washing got wet:mad::mad:. Never mind

Woofer is mending really well. Fur is growing back on his leg , he is managing to resist temptation to lick the wound -good boy. Stitches are all out so he isnt wearing the lovely lampshade quite so much.

Ds2 is home for the summer:j:j:j. He arrived back yesterday afternoon , I made sure that all our washing was upto date apart from what they were wearing so we could clear his dirty washing that I was sure he would bring back. But nope a set of undies and what he was wearing was all he had, he had done all his at uni the day before. I got a cuppa in bed with some toast this morning from him, now I remember why I miss him so much when he isnt here;);)

Ds1 leaves 6th form today (staid an extra year) so he went all suited and booted for leavers day. A few tears will be shed. I am taking refuge at my sisters for the night with woofer and the younger two as they are having a SMALL after party here tonight. Gave them all the pep talk when they all came to say thank you for letting them have it. You know the rap sheet
    No upstairs
    No smoking in the house
No shoes in the front room
    NO DRUGS!!!!!!!
    etc etc etc

There are about 25 of them and I have known most since they were in nursery with ds1 and 2 . Have warned the neighbours.

Have put stuff upstairs that I dont want touched so hopefully everything will go well. Woo betide them if it doesn't

So House nice and tidy , food pretty much prept for them and drinks in the fridge.

Lovely sis is treating us to a curry tonight , hm of course;):p;)

Hope everyone is ok and has a lovely day :)

Good luck with your first shift BB, am sure you will be fine :D

Hilstep - oh my what a week, hope you're feeling too battered and bruised xxx Hope your DD gets herself sorted and its good that you've noticed shes not quite right.

ulypool - oh you are brave having a party ;) I went to a house party when I was school and one lad ended up going to hospital to have his stomach pumped

delamo - well done on your weight loss :T Keep it up x

Got my errands done, waiting for a friend and her munchy little baby to arrive for coffee and natter. Spent most of the morning making a cane out of dowelling, electrical tape and the end off another plastic cane. Looks pretty good and is now the right height for my tap show.

    Afternoon all

I'm back from a busy week away with work. My vertigo was quite bad most of the week following the treatment I had on Tues :( so I couldn't take part in any of the activities. The work kids did climbing and abseiling on Weds so I just sat at top of cliff in sunshine and read my Kindle :D, on Thursday they did canoeing in morning so I went to the other office to catch up on stuff, and then they did coasteering in pm so I went along and watched them from the sidelines. On the whole the group were great, although I did have to take one to hospital yday  one of the girls claimed to be 8 weeks pregnant and bleeding, so had to take her. She had signed 2 different consent forms 4weeks ago stating she wasn't pregnant, and when the hospital tested her it was negative. So not sure if she was really, or just attention seeking.

I did well out of the trip, came home with 15 eggs, box of cornflakes, 8 onions, a pepper, half jar of coffee and 6 loo rolls!!! The leftover food goes to work kids who live on their own, and this was what they didn't want :D

And then when I got home I had a pile of mail, including magazine with free eyeliner, and one with free mascara. Plus a voucher from Tesco CC with free 650 Clubcard points!

I'm having a lazy afternoon/evening. Quite tired and want to chill before the long weekend. Tomorrow I'm off to the rugby in Cardiff, then on Monday my friend is coming to stay for 4 days, and on Tuesday I'm hosting a Jubilee party :j.

OS wise - BM is on, first time since moving here :o, food all put away, WM loaded but not going on til tomorrow cos it's raining. Naughty takeaway for tea :)

    Have a fab day all

    Afternoon all

Still drizzly here, I've given up and put clothes in TD, too. Just finished food stocktake - got loads more food in than I thought, so meal planning next on the agenda. Unfortunately, I found some seriously outdated flour and bread mixes (over 3 years old!) that I've chucked out, so cross with myself for that. :(

DH and I out for tea tonight, so littlies and DS using what we've got. Will do shopping tomorrow morning when I take DS to work, then working myself all day.

Lost manual for BM so think I've found the right one online (not used BM in ages, so better follow instructions at least once! :rotfl:), as I want to use up all sorts of baking things; thought it would be easier to make a load of fruity/nutty/spicy breads for pack-ups or breakfasts.

Have a good Friday afternoon, especially if you've already had a rubbish week (hilstep, etc)! :D

    A xo
