most of the old netto's have turned into 'supermarket' stores, meaning that they are only small and only stock certain lines. if you want the full asda range then you need to go to a bigger superstore. when we was in berwick last year the asda was an old netto, it wasnt very big at all but we shopped there as i get 10% disount and it was sufficient for the 4 nights we were away x

I shop at ASDA and have never paid anywhere close to 95p for tinned tuna.

If you can get tuna for 95p a tin you're doing well! In Mr T's you'll pay more than that in per tin in a multipack.

Are you serious ?? Maybe if you buy premium brands like John West...

Asda smartprice tuna chunks in brine are 54p

    That's more like it.

Tuna is going up in price - but 95p - really !! Think I would have left it on the shelf as well.

Easy enough to say. They've doubled my food bill, my income hasn't doubled.

I know you siad lidl is an hours walk away, co op is just as expensive and morries is more expensive, huge slog up a hill to get home but have you checked if theres an aldi, homebargains, B&M stores are discount/cheap stores, theres also the 99p or £ shops.

I shop at ASDA and have never paid anywhere close to 95p for tinned tuna.

I think the netto stores that changed to asda stores charge different prices to out of town asda stores.

It is a shame Netto has ceased trading in the UK completely. I used to shop their for most of my weekly shop and go to one of the others for the few extras.

I used to love Netto baked beans, cheap and nicer (to me) then everyone elses.

they said in my ex netto this was not the case
however i do think they speak with forked tongue as many articles are priced differently depending what day you go in
it must be a right logistical nightmare playing musical prices and woe betide you if you believe the till receipts

Might be because the stores asda converted were all city centre locations so higher rent so higher costs (much like the tesco express or the metro format stores in town centres).

Prices are the same in ASDA superstore and supermarkets and was one of the main advertised points of shopping in the supermarkets, Netto tended to buy land and build properties on lower rate areas which is why most where on the outskirts of town centres.
