I have a Barclaycard with the contactless function. Waste of time.
1) Nowhere seems to accept the contactless function except Waitrose and Cafe Nero, both of which are unreliable and often it hasn't worked.
2) I'd rather not have it as I perceive it to be insecure despite the low payment threshold.

1) Will be solved when more shops adopt it. When they replace their card terminals, chances are they will have contactless functionality.
2) Is quite overblown. The security aspect is really, really overhyped.urs sinserly,

Or, in the case of McDonalds, they'll replace their contactless readers with non contactless ones ! The local McDs now has 1 non Contactless reader and 3 Contactless ones. Since you are told which queue to join via the order number, you can't choose which terminal you want to use.JuicyJesus wrote: »1) Will be solved when more shops adopt it. A brand new PC World has opened just a few weeks ago. Guess what, the terminals are not contactless enabled. I asked them about it and the till staff didn't seem to have a clue. They asked someone else who said that it would be 'Too confusing' for the customer.0 -

That also makes sense because most PC World purchases are likely to be fairly large, well over even the £20 limit, not justifying the expense.urs sinserly,
