Change his phone number and distribute the new one to people who ought to call him.

IJT seem to be in bed with Morgan Computers - whether they've merged, or one has bought the other, I don't know.
I've been buying stuff from Morgans since they were operating out of a scruffy room at the back of a camera shop in Tottenham Court Road, and advertising in Private Eye, back when the original 8-bit IBM PC was brand new.
Morgans are clearance specialists: the "Richer Sounds" of the computer world. They have a small number of retail stores, including their main one which is right opposite Centre Point (just around the corner from Tottenham Court Road) there's another in Birmingham.
Morgans used to (and did for years) send out a bedsheet-sized advertising flyer (called "The Morgan Flyer") by post to all of their customers. There days, emails have replaced the yellow and white "flyer". Although, around Xmas time, they send out a glossy leaflet, (that could do with some serious proof-reading!)
Morgans' ongoing BIG deal is "free printers". Buy a small selection of refurbished printer cartridges, and they'll give you the printer for them. I thought it must be a trick, (or a really dreadful printer) but rang them to take advantage of the offer: a Dell colour laser and two sets of cartridges all in for £106 delivered. Brief research on the web had shown that it was actually a pretty GOOD printer! The printer has since given me over two years of faultless service - and turned out to have come from IJT of Somerton. "Somertek" products feature regularly in Morgan's catalogues on on their website.
I've since seen - in this very forum - wild (and somewhat improbable) accusations made about IJT. The person who made the claims here says that he has PROOF of malfeasance, (because when he complained, they gave in a refund!) The cost of defending a small claim in county court - no matter HOW absurd the claim might be - is almost certainly far higher than simply writing the sale off, and giving a refund. In this case, the claim was that IJT were taking part-filled cartridges out of new printers, and selling them as full. Which leads to the paradox:- if (as I did) customers bought TWO sets of cartridges... where did the second set come from?!0 -
