Hi all,
My little boy will be 2 on Sunday and I am sitting here withouta clue what to get him! We have a 5 year old daughter too and between them they have so many toys (many passed down and as gifts from others). He has plenty of clothes too.
I have used up ideas for other family members (backpack and wellies for Nursery etc) and I just can't think of anything! Absolutely useless! He has stickle bricks and duplo and mega blocks passed down from our daughter and puzzles galore and endless supplies of crafty stuff as they both love to glitter and glue.
My little girl suggested he might like a cat but we have 3 of those and they would object to being wrapped in paper!
Any ideas from you lovely lot?

Car seat? He can't go up to the next stage seat for at least a year but at least it's something that will eventually be used. Garden toys? They don't clutter your house and increase the kids' interest in playing in the garden. A gazillion pairs of underpants? He's at the right age for toilet training and there will be so many incidents where you'll just chuck the pants in the bin!!0

I bought my grandson one of these on his second birthday...0

The little boy across the road (who is two and a half) has something like this http://www.gltc.co.uk/pws/ProductDetails.ice?ProductID=10000002706&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_term=&utm_campaign=Product%20Listing%20Ads&gclid=COiq5LHqqrACFYt-fAodLxHRUw
It says its from 3 years but he has had it since Christmas and always seems to be on it.
I remember being stuck for ideas when my children were two - they're too old for baby toys but most more grown up things say from 3 years. It's better to get something that they grow into rather than something they'll discard in a few weeks.0 -
How is he for wheels? Trikes bikes, tractors etc. Season tickets for a local adventure park/ farm / zoo. A box full of dressing up hats. sand pit. wooden tarin track from Ikea (£8 a box buy 2) these are all things my 2 year old loves.
Or an iPad he loves that as well. (but its not really his).0 -
If he's already got everything he could possibly want then make sure he has a lovely party, invite all his little friends, bake him a cake, take lots of photos...
... and put the money you would have spent on a new toy into his savings account0 -
How about a little pop up tent? Does he like carrying things around - maybe a backpack?0

Hi - these are great http://babyequipmentcomplete.com/main_site/main/index.php?pge=detail&iid=5101&gclid=CMb84Mn1qrACFcUmtAodlRb8TQ ... they fold up as well so are easy to store and take up no room at all!! Great as they child doesnt need to be able to balanceBaldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?0

Oh yes, scooters are fab.My kids have one each. If he's quite short, then you can get toddler scooters for 1+ years: http://www.micro-scooters.co.uk/category/mini-micro-seat-and-o-bar/

My son had one of these...

and he played with it for years. It's good for both indoors and out and it folds away small so you can tuck it under a bed or behind the sofa etc. Your daughter will play in it too! (and it's half price...very MSE)

I would suggest garden toys too, or a special day out for the family. You could wrap up lots of cheap, silly toys - bottles of bubbles, toy cars, some new playdough, etc - so that he has something to open.0
