Wrong
DHL are not part of Yodel and never have been, the DHL Domestic business (formerly Securicor) was sold to HDNL last year and as of early this year was rebranded as Yodel. And yes the service from Yodel is shocking, far worse that it ever was when they were Securicor..0 -
If they claim your parcel was delivered and signed for, giving a time, then they will also have a geocode(the HHT's take a fix off gas meters IIRC) of where the signature was taken, accurate to within a few metres.Ask them to check this and see if it was on your street as they it could have been delivered to one with a similar(or not) name.0

they use GPS not gas meters0 -
I find that with yodel, stuff gets delivered eventually but it's never an easy transaction!
This week I ordered a kenwood mixer that was £140, saw the white van outside but I was getting dressed at the time, no-one rang my doorbell or buzzer (I live in a flat) The van then drove off!
Stuck my head outside the door just in case in had been left, nope.
Rang yodel to see if they could get hold of the driver just in case but they told me sorry it's been delivered you will have to ring amazon to sort it out.
So on the off chance I thought I'd check downstairs and lo and behold there was my parcel at the bottom of the stairs (I live on the 2nd floor) in it's original packaging so everyone including other residents and anyone who walked past knew what it was!! (not that I mind them knowing I bought a mixer but it's obviously of value and nickable!)
Good job I was in as it quite possibly could have been taken and i would have been none the wiser had I not actually been in at the time!:hello: Hiya, I'm single mom, avid moneysaver and freecycler, sometimes  but definatly0 -
You rang them? I'm impressed.0

Please don't try faxing the Basildon number, it's not Yodel at all. The lady was very nice about it though0

I've had two experiences of Yodel's delivery service, both from Amazon.
First I ordered a bulk order of toilet rolls (they were a bargain price which turned out to be a misprice but Amazon honoured the order for which I am grateful). So according to Yodel's tracking the parcel was being delivered on Wednesday so I sit in all day Wednesday - no parcel. On Thursday I had a job interview and was on my way out of the front door when a man in a car (not a van) says to me that he has a parcel for my neighbour and would I take it. As I am in a hurry I dump the parcel in the hall and off I go. I get home from the interview and find the parcel is actually my toilet rolls and the driver had tried to deliver it to the wrong house. I check the online tracking purely to see what it says and it states that my parcel is "in the porch". I don't have a porch.
Second experience - I'd ordered some pannier bags for my bike. Again I check Yodel's ordering and on the delivery day I sit waiting. A man in a van pulls up, spends about five minutes in the back of his van and then goes again. No parcel turns up. The next day I have to go out all day. I get home at around 5.30pm and there is a whopping big box in front of the front door in the rain (I live in a terraced house and the front door is approximately 3 feet from the pavement and and full view of the pavement, road and the neighbours from hell across the road, how the box was still there I will never know). Anyhow it is my pannier bags in a soggy cardboard box. The online tracking again says they are in my non-existent porch!0 -
awaiting an expensive parcel from ebay sender who was very efficient ... sent by yodel only to disappear into the ether for days .... 2 alleged attempts at deliveries but no cards left, when one delivery was attempted they didnt even ring the bell.. and left a card for the attention of colin .. no other details... , rang depot, rang helpline with promise of call back but nothing .. further calls next day and next day .. said it was on the van and maybe delivered up to 9pm that night .. biggest load of lies ever .. not able to speak to a manager... think it is a company run by a random few people at a police line up or something ... no one was able to connect to any part of the business .. parcel was needed for a trip, the parcel tuned up at 7pm on the friday, 4 days later ... avoid, avoid, avoid this shower of excrement of a company !!!!!0

I'm waiting for a delivery from the Book People. Apparently they attempted delivery yesterday and left a card. Neither of which happened. No more purchases from the book people for me until they change couriers as this is the second problem in the last three orders.0
