Why is my tax credits renewal taking so long??

Hi posted mine back 21st April rang a week later to check if they had received it they received it the 26th April rang them last Friday to see what was happening they said it had been referred he don't think it had scanned on the system. Last Wednesday received a letter for a childcare review have to send in a years worth of bank statements and childcare proof which i do have it all will be sending it back next week all this waiting is really getting on my nerves fed up now.
