You can't expect users to know about app rights, which one are bonified sources, what apps on Google Play are safe and which one are not. Most mobile phones are used by children, people who do not have a lot inside knowledge of way Android work and many old people. Most people want to use the phone and Internet not try to learn the os or programming.
It seem the Google is happy to take money from people ho are not geek.
You really are sick with your exaggerations aren't you?
Always banding the word MOST , once again you make yourself look ridiculous, people want to read your posts with respect, but you just don't help yourself.0 -

No the Android system is an OS used on "smart phones" Unfortunately, just as it is in life, phone, door step, mail scams, it's the same in smart phones. People are just not smart in their use, or using them.
I refer back to my point, people are stupid. may be harsh yes, but in reality it does seem that things switch off in some situations, and installing apps is one of them.
When you come into offering advice purely after the occasion then you are left frustrated and thinking why?! I've even told new people with smart phones to be very aware of what they install, and what to look out for, and still they do it. (same as with laptops and computers!)
Darwinian law some what comes into play here. They do stupids enough then eventually they may learn, and yes that is sometimes as much as can be done.
There is simply too much in life to be worried about, and thinking oh will this app that I don't know, never seen recommended, says it can call out, actually call out? Meh prolly not *installs*
It goes back to terms and conditions, hardly anyone reads them, then gets all upset when the company in question does something that's perfectly legal. Same as most don't even bother to look at the app permissions either, never mind comprehend what they actually mean. And lets face it. It doesn't say maybe, might, possible, gives the app the ok to make telephony calls through tin can to tin can. It tells you straight up what it can do. Yet.. Yet.. But.. But (there are always buts, and yets, and I didn't see its'"0 -
Could you answer the question please?
How can the question be answered if it's not going to happen?
My billing is online and I check the account daily, so I would notice any charges immediately (or within a few hours) , if they are not valid then I would challenge the charges, as mentioned though it ain't going to happen0 -

It's good to know that in the event of your Android phone taken over by malware and start to receive paid text messages, you have a plan of action such as check the mobile account daily for any invalid charges. Good point, however I think it should be Googls job to stop malware not user.0 -

In other posts you mention you also run an android device, have you ever been struck by malware? We already know the answer....NO, much as you would like it to, these things we just read about on the internet. It's good to know that the trusted apps you load from itunes can upload one's private address book details and other personal data for other 3rd parties to use0 -
So you would challenge the charges. On what basis? You gave the app permission to carry out the specific actions listed in its terms.
What charges am I challenging? You are bright enough to know you cross a bridge when you reach it, if ever this internet myth event occurs in reality , you can rest assured I will let you know 1st :cool:0 -
What's the point in wasting time on checking your account daily then?0

What's the point in wasting time on checking your account daily then?
If that is directed at me, I check my account daily , so as not to exceed my allowance bundles, this month I have used
553 mins
930 text
210mb data
Have plenty of installed apps from google play and my charges above my monthly agreement is £0.00
The bundle commences again on the 1st of the month :cool:0
