NO not at all safe I would say.

    Did a who is

And that came up as the company DIRECTI INTERNET SOLUTIONS PVT. LTD. D/B/A Which made alarm bells ring in my head.

Did a quick search for them and found this from back in 2008

Seems like they are back and trying the Credit Card scam yet again.

(they are a known host for scams)

Can not post the links sorry do a google search for the company name

Thanks for this thread, it helped make my decision on a car stereo which was 50% cheaper than everywhere else.
Looking up DIRECTI INTERNET SOLUTIONS comes up with contact details in Mumbai!! No way am I dealing with them as that's where my credit card fraud occurred last time... well dodgy!!!

I was just looking for something and google pointed out this scam site as the best deal, its sad there is no where to report scam sites like this to get them taken down. Sites like MSE are brilliant for getting onto google a reference to the scams. Having done some research, categorically and for the benefit of anyone checking the site out..

SCAM site, you are asked to send money in an unsafe way, you will never see it again or any goods. Google should be more responsible and block the site.

  • I'd just like to thank everyone on here for airing and discussing the above web site. Like many before me, I too was attracted to the site because of initially attractive pricing. As someone else mentioned, if it looks too good to be true...

Thank you all again. My sympathies to JammyJohn, but grateful you took the time to post on the subject.
  • First I would like to thank everyone for all the helpful information. I actually tried to buy some speakers off this site, I put all my details in but not my bank details, it confirmed successful transaction. which I thought was odd. I went my emails and from there it was telling me how to pay for the goods, (via paypoint) from the post office ect. I have never paid for anything in this way and led me to searching this site and ended up here and you all confirmed my suspicions..
  • Thanks for the above information. I have emailed onlinemedicollection and the reply came back from huses.net so if the former is a fake site then huses.net must be as well
    Regards

Hi Everyone above, thank you for all the information on Online Media Collection. I found them after having a severely broken Plasma 42" Tv delivered, last one in stock. These guys had it for £168!!! Well the TV is nearly £400 in most outlets in the high street and online, so imagine my surprise. I'm not one to be caught out on things and couldn't believe this to be true, lovley site, they've done their work haven't they. I researched it all after I wanted to speak with them, get human contact before I made any order. The telephone number is not one that is used by let's say, those who want to be known. It is close to a Canada number but not close enough. So I researched the Ireland address being it's closest to us in the UK and I found it belongs to the Housing people, I phoned them and they've never heard of Online Media, (I thought, big building, maybe they rent an office or two - NO!). So then I did the Whois and finally found your comments. I'm so relieved (though disappointed I won't get my TV for a whole lot cheaper), that my suspicions were founded and that I didn't just go online and buy it. I've now ordered my TV from good old faithfull and reliable Dixons. Thanks again, all your comments have saved me from making a fool of myself (maybe) and losing a lot of money which I don't really have! :) Take care all. xx
PS Huses is German but probably based in America or even Australia. When people like this have something to hide, they do hide. Avoid both. They're nasty individuals who should go find out what a real honest job is like and struggle like the rest of us for little pieces of luxury.

Thanks so much to my friend who found this thread and to everyone here as you have just stopped me losing £200! When the email went in to junk I found it strange to start with. On checking the email to find I could only pay at paypoint got the alarm bells going and I asked for my friend's opinion and he found out what he did. Bit unsettled that I entered some details but hopefully it was just the cash they were after as they didn't ask for bank/card details or anything. Paypal from now on and won't be fooled again!
  • PLEASE DON'T USE THIS COMPANY OR SITE. I WAS FOOLISH AND HAVE LOST £768. I nowhave to file a police report and will never see that money again. IT IS A COMPLETE FRAUD
