Arghhhhhhhhhh
I came home to find a dozen emails telling me to f*** off. I was like urm okay. Then I signed onto ebay and see someone has sent 100 plus emails phishing for information from my account. I have now changed my password but lots of people have messaged me saying they have reported me and I dont want to lose my account
I think I accidently fell for one of these phishing hoaxes the other day as when a listing ended someone messaged me with this
Hello,

I just saw this item of yours and I remember seeing the same item two days ago, take a look:
I clicked on the link and it asked me to sign in, Im normally very savvy but I fell for it.
So be warned

Well lesson learned I guess
NEVER log into Ebay unless you have typed in the https://www.ebay.co.uk in the address bar yourself
Some of these phishing mails are too easy to fall for and the only 100% proof way is to always type the address yourself.
I don't know if they will close your account... I would wait and see what they say really i guess
They know fishing goes on and if anyone has logged in as you they CAN trace it but I don't know if they bother...
It happens, don't worry about it

Suggest you install Windows Live Toolbar - it warns you if sites are known phishing sites like that one.
Probably not a good idea to post a live link to a fraudsters website though!0 -
Forget emailling ebay - you might as well bang your head against a wall.
Go here, and pronto:

Sorry, my post was a little premature. (I saw the words 'my accounts been hacked' and went into emergency mode) Your account hasn't actually been hacked (yet) - you've just given your details away.
Run a virus checker and change your password, and you should be ok. And yes, I woudl remove the link from your OP. I clicked on it and IE7 spotted it was a phishing site - but best to be on the safe side. (Don't try this at home unless you're confident in your computer's safety settings, folks!)My TV is broken!
