    Just one note - when you first connect the computer to the TV you may need to set up the sound drivers for it. If it is anything like mine it will do it automatically each time after that.

    When you buy HDMI cables in a shop (outside value tescos/asda etc) like currys, comet, dixons, pc world, even argos, they are dear. When you realise how much they really cost by going to ebay, amazon, play.com etc you never go back to paying £20+ for one.

    You might also want to restart the laptop once the cable is plugged in to the tv, just so it can get drivers installed, if needed. (otherwise you might be back saying it's all funny, the aspects wrong, weird colours, etc)
