Want to offer but not sold my own house yet

You could register your interest with the EA and explain that your house will be going on the market next week. Perhaps you could have an open day, that can speed up selling your house and the vendor might be willing to see how that turns out.
Needless to say, that didn't work for one of our buyers so we eventually went with someone else.;)
Yes, we had 4 "extremely interesteds" - all unable to sell their own places so all a waste of time really.
We endeavoured to get the EA to only send people who were actually in a position to buy but it was like banging your head against a brick wall.
The EA gave us every excuse from "We can't ask them if they have the money" to "They may not have to sell. Perhaps they can raise the money in other ways".
Needless to say we removed it from the market & won't be using that particular EA when it eventually goes back on sale.
At present we're just sitting & waiting for anything at all to sell in the area.
We've watched other properties reduce prices, still not get the interest we had & still not go under offer.
I think that the biggest factor at present is where you are selling, followed by the type of property & how much.
Around here it's only been FTB, BTL or properties under £400K that have moved in the last couple of years.0 -

Ours is (fingers crossed) going to sell quite quickly. The house opposite reached asking price under 3 weeks and I'd say ours is just as good. In some ways (size/standard of garden and kitchen) - better.
So maybe I can get it on market quickly and the house of my dreams will still be around when we're ready. They know we're serious and interested.

Fingers crossed it all works out for you x

I had a couple who viewed my house twice and loved it, then ea told me their own house wasn't even on market yet! I couldn't understand why they had even viewed first time round, let alone come back for a 2nd view when they were as far from proceedable as it's possible to be.
I told ea I didn't want any more unproceedable viewers as it's just an absolute waste of everybody's time.
There are people who say things like..."I'm cash..."!!! When what they actually mean is - "My house is on the market, and I have just had an offer".
Or - "My house isn't on the market but I know it will sell straight away"!!!0 -
Just wondering on people's views on this same scenario where the house is a repo - will a bank which wants the property off their books be any more accommodating than an in situ vendor?0

Making such assumptions may build you up for disappointment. You can never know based on other experiences how your house will do.
Good luck0 -

I made some queries on a repo and they seem to expect you to exchange (possibly even complete) within 28 days. During this time your offer is to be made publicly available and others are welcomed to out-bid.You were only killing time and it'll kill you right back0
