would it make a difference if you was having another boy though and would having a private scan make you feel better in any way ?LopezLopez wrote: »No, it's not just you, of course there's nothing more important than having a healthy baby. I found out what sex my daughter was only because I was curious and the sonographer had a clear view, but even then I only bought a couple of bits of pink and still bought lemons and whites just in case

I think it can make you feel a bit better as if its not the result you were quite hoping for, there is enough time to adjust before the baby is actually born and help you remember that really we all just pleased to be having a healthy baby.
MMS:j Go on, shake your money maker! :j0 -
The only reason i would like to know is so i could have some idea on what to call the baby while its still in there!
it would be nice to decide on and call the baby by its name for the next few months rather than having to use "bump" "it" "the baby"
but they dont do routine sexing in my area, and if you ask they say no!
so its no good me hoping to find out anyway!0 -
We decided to find out the sex of our second baby because my OH had a serious leg operation 2 weeks before my due date and we wanted everything in place before baby arrived (as I was going to have a c-section). it would have been a nightmare if we didn't know what sex it was and what needed to be bought etc...(1st was a girl) I was so glad we did. It made everything so much easier to plan for. The birth of my son was no less special than the birth of my daughter, it made no difference whatsoever to how special the whole experience of meeting your new baby for the first time, so go for it if it is what you want and good luck. And as mentioned above, if the sonographer is good there should be no surprises! I definately knew my baby was a boy, even at the 12 week scan...you couldn't miss it!!!!!0

Ours was called Boo until she arrived (we didn't know the sex and it was before Daisy Oliver was born). In a Den first, Theo Paphitis has been getting business information from a talking tree.0
