Useless British Gas - who to complain to
I'm wondering if anyone can help me. I've just arrainged to take another day off to wait for a British Gas engineer to come and fix my washer (through the 3 star service cover) Only to find out the useless engineer who came on Friday (with an empty box instead of a part:mad: ) booked me in for tomorrow. I'm trying to sort it out with the call centre but want to complain to the highest authority in British Gas as I've now had to take a total of 3 days off work to sort it.
Can anyone give me any pointers?
Cheers

Alanb,
Save yourself a load of grief and terminate the contract... Save the money in an interest bearing account and dip into it when required.

I've managed to get the CEO's email address so I'll give him a try - I fully expect to be ignored. I'll also try the address suggested on the other thread.
Thanks for all the help.

computerwoman, usually energywatch would be a good suggestion, but they and ofgem ofgem deal with regulating gas and electricity, they don't have anything to do with servicing companies I'm afraid, even if owned by a utility.0

find the local ombudsman for the area tripled is correct usual ports of call OFGEM and Energywatch can't deal with this0

Well, my kicking off at the call centre manager seemed to do the trick. They're replacing my old washer/dryer completely. Aparently it's a gesture of goodwill due to being messed about. Quite a result as I'm sure I'm only due about a 40% rebate on a new one.
The CEO of British Gas is Sam Laidlaw.
