Wedding Dress Fittings

Be careful. Some people are allergic to it! But I don't know if the dress will be too heavy...:T0

No bra for me either - so do need to make sure it fits:eek:
Being so short you will see why I was hoping to get nearer to the 8.5 stone mark.
Weigh in day at SW and will see what that brings. How much do ou think I can shift between now and next week???0 -
It depends hon. I noticed a quick loss when I started on the protein shakes in Feb - am going to go back on them for a week soon to see if the change shifts some more weight. The important thing is to change it about a bit. Oh and after this weekend I'm going off alcohol!!! Best thing you can do.7 Feb 2012: 10st7lbs

Well if you want to get the flu... :rotfl:
With a week, I wouldn't concentrate on loosing lb, more loosing inches. You can loose 2-3lb by not eating/ drinking all day! So not a good indicator. Try keeping cals lowish, n doing weight based exercising. (I say this like I know what I am doing! :rotfl: ):T0 -
I would imagine at this first fitting, they will mostly be concerned with the length, so they can take that up (allowing leeway for changes in weight), and just tell them not to bother with the rest as you are still losing weight.
Do you have to pay extra for alterations? If so, they'll probably be happy with you having as many as you want before the big day!0 -
Weights and resistance exercise are good, definitely.
I have to pay extra for alterations and am dreading how much they're going to be!!! :eek:7 Feb 2012: 10st7lbs

Just a quick update on the wedding fitting issue if I may....
After panicking so much about this 1st fitting I rang the shop and asked their advice. Have now rearrnged fitting for the 12th July (wedding 25th August) - so about 6 weeks before. As an aside, this is when they suggested 1st fittings were normally scheduled for - so no idea why mine ended up some 12 weeks before.
Anyway, I was advised that most wedding dresses can be incresed by one dress size and most can be altered down up to 3 dress sizes.
Now all I need to do is to get down to 8.5 stone either by the 1st fitting or the wedding... Not sure, I'll get there as currently 10 stone 10 (well still to be weighed this evening at SW). Is this possible????? Need help desperately.0 -
Hadley down to 8.5 (loosing 31lb?) by your first fitting would be loosing just over 4lb a week. Which Is very unlikely I am afraid- it would probably make you ill.

By the wedding is 2.5 lb a week, which is do-able, but there I no room for slip-ups at all. Have you thought about changing your goal a little, 9st would give you 7 extra lbs to play with, which makes it easier?
Sorry, it's probably not what you want to hear, but realistically it's not likely. :grouphug: dodgy hug!:T0 -
Thanks Jo...
Love the dodgy hug :rotfl:
Did think it was rather out of my reach.
Just wishful thinking. I have set an interim target at SW for 9.5 stone at the mo (well I keep swapping it between 9 stone and 9.5).
I know I can only do what I can do. Just wanted to try and set myself some sort of goal. But as you say maybe should be looking at something doable.
