I am 56 and run 6 miles every other day

I do sympathise. It can be a long way to the departure gate at many airports.

We have had a phone call (from a director of Skypark) and have had the £170 car park fee refunded. We were not refunded for the £41 chauffeur service we did not receive - we are still awaiting news on this.

Given that we had the stress of no one turning up, my husband aged 55 having to run from the parking to get to the gate on time, and speedy boarding we paid for a waste of money as most people had boarded by the time we got to the gate, its reasonable to expect them to refund a service we didnt get!!

    No offer of anything else

    Will keep you posted

They did the right thing + refunded your out of pocket expenses.

    Now you get greedy!

Imagine if it had been T1 Dublin, you cross two International time zones getting from Check-in to the gate.

Well, the OP paid for a hassle free meet & greet service and instead they had hassle and had to go to the long term car park.

So, though they aren't out of pocket, they did not get like for like.

That said, the company could have refunded their fees (£41) and walked away, but instead they paid the car park (£170).

So all in all, I would take it. (Even if a bit grumpilly!)

    Thanks for the comments
We were pleased not to have the hassle of chasing the £170 and we suprised that we didnt have to (and doesnt that say something about customer service expectations in UK)
We paid for a service and one of the things we expected from the service (and what it sells on the web site) is piece of mind and lack of hassle - which we didnt get - quite the opposite. The fact that there is no number to contact other than the continually engaged mobile number is a problem. So we are underwhelmed with the service provided in many ways

My husband is a fit 55 year old but running from a long stay car park to the departures is not something he was physically prepared to do and he was knackered. Again not what we wanted and planned for
