PPI claim Guidance

Hi,
Following advice from this site, I have decided to ignore the CMC's and investigate this subject for myself. Neither me nor my wife can recall ever taking out PPI on any cards, loans or mortgages but we have had numerous cards and loans between us.
The problem is that neither of us has any paperwork for the credit cards and loans that we have paid off. I only keep documents for the duration of any deal and then I shred. We both only have 1 credit card each which are quite new and definitely no PPI.
I have gained copies of credit reports for us both but account numbers are not detailed, only the lender.
From the reports, our financial history for old deals includes:
1. LLoyds Bank - 3 Loans and 2 credit cards
2. M&S Finance - 1 credit card
3. MBNA - 1 credit card
4. BMW Finance - 1 loan
5. Nationwide - 1 expired mortgage deal
Should I make a SAR to all of these organisations and what information should I request bearing in mind that I do not have any account numbers or any other paperwork relating to the T & C's of the respective accounts.
Also, could I make a joint SAR to LLoyds for me and my wife which we would both sign or would we have to make individual requests. We both bank with LLoyds.
Any help would be much appreciated.

It is your only choice if you dont hold any paperwork.
Just to note on the mortgage, MPPI is a standalone product and is usually taken as monthly payments from your bank account (a bit like the life assurance is). There are some older mortgages where it would be collected with the mortgage but would have appeared on the mortgage statement.
Also, remember that there is nothing wrong with having PPI. The whole issue is whether it was sold correctly or not (in which case you have to give your reasons and that is difficult if you dont know them) or whether it was set up correctly (more an issue with loan PPI and some credit card PPI)Also, could I make a joint SAR to LLoyds for me and my wife which we would both sign or would we have to make individual requests. Lloyds dont do joint loans. So, you would need one each to ensure you get the most data.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). if you never had PPI then you have nothing to complain about.0

I don't know if we had PPI. That is what I am trying to ascertain
That is stage 1.
Stage 2 is your reason for complaint. That is going to be harder for you if you dont even recall how it was sold.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
