Hi All,
Hope everyone has a good day.
My day has been a little tense up to now because i am being accused of being an alcoholic at every turn! the definition of alcoholism varies considerably between the uk and a muslim world!--i have given up which is about all a man can do but Mrs De is still hassling me.
İ have been for a blood test which will reveal the combination of my meds and drinking is the culprit, which is why i have stopped drinking!--you women can be like a dog with a bone!! its lucky us men ignore imperfections!!
İ am working late today but not many hours teaching. İts the end of year and groups are finishing along with the revenue flow! During my time away from here we bought the business partner out of the school which dessimated my reserves so we are running on fumes now!--im glad i am eating lots of porridge in readiness for the workhouse!--at 3 quid for 400grammes the porridge will be the final straw i reckon!mfw'11 No68- 55k mortgage İO--little to nothing saved! i must do better.0 -
Morning everyone,
Been missing for a few days went to the pain management clinic on Monday to see how they can help with the pain my legs, so going to go each week for awhile to see how it goes. I would do anything to lessen the pain.
I lot cooler here this morning so we will strip the bed and do a few loads of washing and get them out on the line. Then dust and tidy the place up.
Bm on just salad sadwiches for lunch, taken some sliced pork from the freezer so will have that with some jacket potatoes and veg for tea.
HH Sorry about your paycut thats quite alot at once ((hugs))
Hope everyone as a good day53/200 Jettison in June0 -
Morning JackieO and all,
de1amo I hope your blood test comes back favourable. That reminds me, i went to the docs on Monday and forgot to ask if my blood test was ok. Silly me, i will have to chase that up.
Beautiful day here, beds are stripped and the second load is in the washing machine. It will dry in no time.
Pharmacist bugged me yesterday. Does he really have nothing better to do than to want to review my new medication after a fortnight when i shall be going to review it myself with the GP in 3 weeks? Its a new system apparently.
Hugs to those who need it and hoping Hilstep is ok too. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Morning all
Hester - angry on your behalf over the paycut, worth checking on the entitled2 website to see if there's anything you can claim.
Misty sea fog rolling all over the place this morning so actually feels a bit chilly. I've put the washing out in the hope that if nothing else it will smell fresh.
Chopped another 3 pallets for the wood store this morning, 3 left to go but I just couldn't bring myself to do anymore. Car is loaded with stuff for a tip run so just going to finish my coffee and get a wiggle on before it rains.
Got some YS mince reduced to half price yesterday, picked up 2 large packs, one for the freezer for burgers next time we BBQ and I shall do a baked mince and roast veg for tonight, got a hankering for cauli cheese too.....yum!
Hope you all have great days."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Afternoon everyone,
Hester so sorry to hear your news, these cuts are hitting everyone so hard.
Hilstep hope you are feeling a bit better today and that you are resting.
Dundeedoll hope you enjoy your visit to Nottingham, it is strnge that we might pass in the street and not know who the other one is!
Just said goodbye to one of my year 13 classes and one of my year 11 classes. It is the end of an era!
They are taking exams this afternoon and tomorrow.
DS is also doing 2 exams this pm. Physics and additional maths. He will be tired when he gets home!
Starting to pack this evening as we are off to Devon for a week this saturday, can't wait.
Have a lovely day everyone.:)0 -

Maybe it's to see if there are any side effects, like a safety net. He probably wasn't to know that you'd already set up a review with your GP.0 -

He did know cause i told him. He still insisted on me seeing him in a fortnight. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Hello everybody! Well yesterday we went to London to see my doctor and the outcome is they're happy for us to go for another cycle and we have paid for it so now we are living on bread and water for the next month.... I must say it was cooler down there than "ooop North" .... On the plus side I have had a response to a CV I sent out for another home typing service so I'll see how that goes.... On the minus side the docs will be on strike on the day of my NHS apt.....
On a happier note over the weekend away I was worried that my newly planted lupins and hollyhocks would have been nibbled by slugs but not a sausage... most odd..... might have something to do with the collars I made them out of sandpaper....
Well tonight is, as ever, salad and apart from that not much happening. To be quite honest I'm looking forward to the Bank Holiday for a bit of a rest and a chance to do some more decluttering....going very slow but at least it's going. I've even managed to get rid of some more plants on an old school friend who is picking them up tonight... I Hope everyone has a good day and I will try and pop back later when I don't feel quite so shattered....But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green0 -
i forgot to say that yesterday i went for a cardio test and the specialist was very happy with my fitness and there was me worryig whether i couldnt do exercise.
we have just been out and bought a decent mattress because the existing one is causing me back problems--the new one was so 'lush' i was amazed how many types of 'springing' there is.--we chose one with individual pocket springs and soft and hard padding that could be adjusted by removing layers, which also means it can be washed and dried.--its necessary when the night time temps are so high!
Now we are chasing an exercise bike for home---its too hot in the summer to be on the street so i need something that will be gentle and near my aircon.mfw'11 No68- 55k mortgage İO--little to nothing saved! i must do better.0 -
Hi all
HH just popping in to say when we took an hours and pay cut the other year everyone had to agree it and sign otherwise it couldn't happen.
Have you checked... are their actions legal? Try ACAS.
Just a thought.
Good luck.
