Excessively High Broadband Usage with BT

If the YV box is not in use why is it powered on ??If its turned off it cannot use any data .
The YV update was within the last 6 weeks or so .

How old is your hub & have you changed the default Wifi Password? The default passwords are calculated and someone managed to work out how to calculate the default password on the older hubs. Also having the default on the back of the router means that anyone who ever enters your house can steal your internet.

It could be the youview box, but I've never heard that they do this when operating normally.
