Text messages inbox full- will deleting photos/videos help?

I have a nokia phone, and it always says text messages inbox, (as i have loads of messages i want to keep)

Phone model? it is a bit old.



The question is, rather than deleting messages,(inbox/ outbox, saved etc)

Can deleting pictures/images videos etc, give 'more' space for my new text messages to come ?

(ie- is the inbox of a text message, the 'same' memory/space on this nokia phone....as of where images/videos/ mp3s? )

or is 'space' /the same for everything, texts, images, mp3s, videos etc?

Not an expert, but I think there is a limit to the number of texts it holds. So freeing up other space won't help.
