I had threading this morning. Its amazing. To any nice ladies who fancy trying it i strongly recommend over any other method i have tried. The draw back is you cannot do it to your self i don't think. I am foing to try and get dh to learn....he tried before but got bored.
    ...

    Ladies ?!
Actually, LIR, I have tried threading too. :D

If left unkempt my eyebrows gravitate towards the Jack Nicholson monobrow! I hate the idea of my body hair taking over; what next? Hair out of my ears and nose in big chunks?! Eeeks

Is it err wrong to admit I enjoyed the slight pain from threading?

A lot of peoe like mild pain. ;)

Dh's eyebrows untended are immence. They join in the middle and wander off to the hair line at either end.

He also gets hairy ears and nose. Obviously, these are not left untended. His beard is also massive.....almost goes up to his eyes. He is like a wolf man. He is really hairy. I never liked hairy before, but i remember feeling oddly like it was like hugging abig dog in bed when we first met...and i was never cuddly in bed before having a furry man. :o

I tried to reply to this earlier and then everything froze.

Nope. It was parent in hospital today not me....i am next in a hospital on friday. Parent had a minor op and it was as i collected parent we saw the nurse nose wipe incident.

After dropping off this morning i went to the hairdresser (same city, you see) and the beautician was threading someone else and i said i was interested so she did me while i sat there in my foils.:o. Not very private, a Sort of steel magnolias moment.

I once tried threading, it left me with a twitch in one eyelid that took a week to settle down - not repeating that.

Car is back on the road with a nice new MOT....it will be the last year we have her as we think it will be a bridge too far next year.

Going to have to talk to the school again...they are still messing up/not adhering to statements etc, not just with youngest but with all blooming three of them!

I have 3 friends with special needs children and they all complain that they have hassle with getting statements and then getting them complied with. Seems it is standard practice to use the extra staff to act as TA for the whole class rather than just the statemented pupil.

That is certainly my experience since the school became an academy.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.
