I don't go into museums..... they are rare places to visit, IF it's raining and IF you have to kill time and IF they are free. Went in one yesterday (allbeit a total of 12'x30' in size) as I was having to find things to do in a road with nothing to do.
I did try to go into a museum the other week... darned expensive just to look at old stuff that you don't care about anyway ... but were simply trying to kill time/in the rain0 -
I've never quite worked out how English rain manages to have so much wetness to it, down to the bones wetness.
Probably because when it starts it goes on for so long.
I much prefer sub-Tropical climes where they get it all over in one go, and then the sun comes out !!!'In nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments - there are Consequences.'0 -
LL is cooking something disgusting... horrible stench up here. Must be some bizarre meat.... like a salty hock.0

The building looks amazing from the outside, we have driven/walked past a few times, which would make a visit worthwhile on it's own, apparently it was designed by the same bods who do the sports stadiums like RJS (Populous/HOK) which is clear when you see the huge glass bulge at the front.
Dali was clearly 'bonkers' so he would no doubt approved of the design.
Thanks purch. Him indoors is trying to get me to go to the RayJ in exchange. I'm told you can't beat watching the oldies spill their beer as they walk past the food concessions and the canon fires. I've managed to avoid it thus far, but I think this year I may have to bite the bullet. Though I'm still trying to say that I'm a Bucs albatross, having managed to see them twice in London and both times they've lost. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Don't worry, there is also a Nikki No Homes0 -

In some countries people have a more sociable outlook on life (eg Canadians, Australians etc), and invites are passed around to every man and his dog, to come and stay over. Your home is their home attitude.
...
I do think we can learn things from other countries. Here, the emphasis seems to be on that nicer German car; or paying a hell of a lot for a bit of extra space and longer garden.
My Canadian brother-in-law was really keen to show me something at the new lodge.
Was it the gallery landing; the 2 kitchens; the 3 verandas; what ?
Nope. It was a tatty hammock, fastened between 2 trees ! That is his pride and joy. I had to try it, and road test the special feature : a bit of rope which lets you build up a nice swing side to side. :rotfl:
I have to admit, it was fun.0 -

You should consider taking in a USF "Bulls" game. The atmosphere is always more fun than an NFL game, the overall game time is less than the NFL, and the tickets cheaper (as is the Beer, 'garlic-parmesan' [pronounced parmejan my Yankees] Fries and the chipotle cheesey gunk)
I wanted to go to the Seminoles game at the end of the month, but that got vetoed so now I'm aiming for the Pittsburgh game in Dec.'In nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments - there are Consequences.'0 -

We have a tatty hammock too. I love it.0 -

I think i am not making pudding for dh and parent tonight. I just want a bath and bed tbh. I used the horrid slowcooker (beef stew, or casserole i suppose in that thing) and watching the jus get less and less untuous and more and more watery rurns my stomach. It will taste ok though I am sure.0
