Ta muchly. There was another one too where you put in your age and gender and worked out your chances of reaching 100 (rather than how long you might last).

Anyone know where that one is?

Circumcision in the UK was apparently 30% of males until the NHS started. They didn't offer it free so it fell to its current level of 8%. Apparently it's more common in the US where it's about 52% (but again, falling).

Speaking as a dad, wouldn't it expose babies to more nappy rash? :o

Dunno. It has other health benefits according to stats, that opposers argue could be countered by good hygeine. Well, if they could be they aten't being, because otherwise would not be such a difference. There are other drawvpbacks and benefits too.

I'll put that down to cultural differences rather than holding it against her.

what could you possibly include in a sandwich to turn it into 1000 calories?

For a start you need the bread to be really thick, so that you are effectively eating 4 slices of bread, then a lot of butter, mayonnaise, meat and a whole bag of crisps...

Mmmmm. I had three in the end. Felt quite sick until about 10 minutes ago.

No one is coming anywhere near my, err....xxx... with an effing scalpel. Cut you own bits off if you want to mutilate something, but leave me out of it.

if i was more organised i would order it online, to be delivered at a time when i am out and oh is in. i would have thought a professional shopper would have identified this sort of opportunity!

DW is one step ahead of me - if she does shop for food we end up with double the bill and not enough food to last the week - I think this is the same logic as doing the washing up very badly. (and of course if you order it there are no whoopsies)
I've got to either go out and buy food ... or go without. Don't want to go without, but CBA to go and find some..... which involves a 2-3 mile journey minimum... and even if I find somewhere with food for sale I still have to find a parking spot.

May not be as hard as you think as lots of supermarkets are open all day Sunday cos of the Olympic hours relaxation.

    Peo
E get outraged about circumcision now, but it seems quite commonly done to me.
    !

I know of kids who had to have it done at 2 because of having too tight and I'm glad mine was done when I was much younger and thus not having had to face that. Afaik I have never missed it. The recent BBC piece did not quote any stats on the benefits so seemed pretty one sided to me.

(As an aside I didn't realise so many of the nice ladies were so experienced :o)
    I think....

Yeah well, i don't think that would make a nice poll either.

Just googled benefits and learned bits of germany is outlawing it

94 here apparently, though I'll believe that when I see it. A lot of that is to do with being a non-smoking, non-drinking vegetarian. It seemed to discount everyone in my family who had died younger on the grounds that they smoked.

Long list of questions - I almost gave up.

It gave me an age of 91.

But the question about longevity of relatives confused. I ticked that I had one relative that lived to over 90 (true) but I could also have ticked that a lot went in their 60s and 70s.

That's what I thought too. All of my grandparents have died, one in their 60s, one 70s, one late 80s, one early 90s. The one who lived to his 90s was the only one who didn't smoke. I know I have melanoma in my family, as well as breast cancer but I can't include the people who've had it because they were smokers. Smoking with my lot is very much a generational thing, the olds did it, the younger ones didn't. Does that make us genetically healthier? Only time will tell.
Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

The nearest supermarket is 2-3 miles away .... and the ones open might just be round your way.

I went out in the end.... checked out two small shops just 1.5 miles away: CoOp, nothing much in there; Tesco Express, not a lot in there, only reductions were 15p off £2.30 sandwiches (even though it was already 7pm) and a mustard and honey chicken pasta salad box ... well, not my first choice, but at only 40p instead of £2, I had one. It was nice :)

Pulled up at the harbour, overlooking the water, and ate that with a plastic spoon I found in the car.....

Then it was off down to watch the ferry for a few of its trips.... you can get tired of that really, so that was another 20 minutes or so gone.... and now home.
