DD's got into her chosen uni!
    Congratulations to DD party-smiley-027.gif

But is it where you'd like her to be, bearing in mind that you'll soon be lugging vast quantities of stuff there for her?

Could disown her.... time to sit down and say "we found you under a bush ... here's £20. Good luck".

She'll be in the city centre and will be moving out. The uni she's at was one that at least a couple of NPs went to (IIRC). Ferrying her stuff there's going to be a bit of a problem, because of parking (and maybe congestion charge), I'd imagine. :(

Which uni is she going to?

EDIT: Now you've told me where she's going, I'd suggest that you take her over the weekend as there are no congestion charges then.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

    Not good news here:

BBB and he needed ABB. One A was missed by 1 point (319 instead of 320 out of 400) and another by 2 points (318 out of 400).

Could get other universities for his course with those grades, but doesn't want them. Gone for remarks in some papers. Phoned the uni but they said unlikely to be offered a place. :(

Stupid system - if he accepted a course elsewhere today and the remarks came back with the higher grade he couldn't then take up his original place.

does she know which halls she is in yet?

there is metered parking outside the one that i was in which was very central, and if in the halls on the street beginning with G then that is a 3 lane one way road and you can park in the right hand lane on sundays.

    that is rubbish.

i am not sure how the system works these days, but you used to be able to go through clearing to get the same university for a different course, and then just transfer across to your desired course that you were rejected from as inevitably will be drop outs. obviously not a guaranteed solution, but an option to think about.

Its all so stressful for kids and parents, you all have my sympathy. It was my understanding than dn's offer was unconditional ( not uk uni) but have to admit i am on tenterhooks just in case i got that wrong.
