They painted our local post box gold! One of the Olympic medal winners went to DD's school it seems.

Well, i started this medecine.....feels alright. Apparantly reports of alopecia are somewhat exaggerated, but i wi
Wait amd see which side effects i get for my self. So far so good, i discovered this evening that they really mean it when they say nothing fizzy to drink (well,i had to see it for myself). I took the first dose at about five oclock. Just havinga few of the side effects otherwise and nothing untenable, but....its only been two and a half hours and they are only just kicking in so i well not get too complacent for a few days, but if this is it I will be over the moon.
Otherwise, lumbar puncture in next couple of weeks, referral to endocrinologist to review if there is anyway i can be better hormonally supported.0 -
Oh.......it makes you pee. A lot. I see i will be posting here less and peeing more. I piddle a fair bit already.
Already feeling a bit better.0 -
Make sure you have plenty of fluid to drink, then, so you don't get dehydrated. So glad it all seems promising so far.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

Good to read plus the after post about feeling a bit better.
Hope all are well....I will be AWOL for a while as we do our trade show this weekend and my brain will be rung out.
Just a bit of On Topic (to the general board) gossip. Was investigating a shop premises today (I know I know ..but you got to keep your hand in and ear to the ground).
1st offer (only based on a chat and the agent doing a quick google of us whilst on the call) offrred a pop up let ( 6 months but can be renewed) for about 50kpa instead of a stonking £155k pa.
The lease was in administration and they have to take it back but then have to pay 60k pa business rates. Did hint that could go token rent and do rates only.
Sadly, the sums scare us too much and the location is a little off where I really wanted. If it was exactly where I wanted it would be less sacry. The other one I wanted was under offer (and going through at 40% less than asking rent).
Whilst only a temp let, agent did suggest that it could be 'a while' before a 'suitable' long term tenant could be found.0 -

Hey lir, hope you are doing well in hospital and that you come out as good as new. I'm sending you some Bobby Crush vibes to make up for the lack of a pianist. I was going to buy a stylophone and play chopsticks on it for you, but I decided that after that abberation you'd never speak to me again. Get well soon. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Had a horrendous night last night, something tripped our switch in the early hours (I was up as James had been rather irresponsible and stayed out late after work and not let me know...blooming 2am when he got in!). Anyway, I suspect it is my ageing tumble dryer....but the end result was I was so spooked by the tripping of the switch that I convinced myself we were about to end up in flames, so couldn't sleep and had to keep checking all the rooms for smoke and flames (oh the joys of OCD)
I managed to convince myself we were not going to become fire balls at approx 5am this morning and went to sleep....for an hour.
On the relationship front, we went to Walton on the Naze on Monday, can't say I am impressed by the place, I always thought Felixstowe was a bit OAP territory but Walton on the Naze beats it hands down, although their pier is better than ours (mainly because ours is falling down and people are banned from walking on it).We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0
