33 today.

had roast chicken with tarragon, roast spuds, carrots, cauliflower cheese and yorkshires (i know i know you're not supposed to have them with chicken). as i said to OH - you've basically cooked a birthday meal for yourself, not for me! i would have preferred fish finger sandwiches but it was a good dinner, and the key is that i didn't have to cook it - i normally cook sunday dinner.

yeah, but birds don't listen to the rules do they.

when she asks me what i want for presents, i tell her and she says "i'm not getting that it's boring", so the response is "fine, get me whatever you want for my birthday" and then she has a sulk!

Probably because it had monumental buildings before the Cold War and after that it was a showcase city for the eastern and Western blocs, and they tried to outdo each other.

Been to Cologne- it's their fourth city and very impressive. Germany's awash with impressive cities and sometimes seems like a much bigger country like the US
