Don't eat eggs as eggs, sometimes in food and the occasional quiche but otherwise find them a bit eugh

Suasage stew is good but the sausages need to be grilled/fried first and all the fat poured off.

Left Herts at midday, it was 10 degrees and raining, went to near Chichester where it was mostly sunny and 18 degrees, return to Herts at 7.30 when it was raining and 9 degrees. It will be hard for any NP to convince me that I missed the warm(er) sunny bit in Herts while I was away.
    I think....

Tomorrow the chap who 'won' my old car on ebay is coming to pick it up. It did well, beyond our expectations. I hope it is going to a good home.

I picked up the mower I 'won' this afternoon. It was [STRIKE]a tad [/STRIKE] much larger than expected, but that's the fun of eBay. Local pick up on bulky, somewhat esoteric items often = a bargain. :D

Now I just have to work out a safe way to get it out of the van.....:o

You.'ll freak then that not my chooks are salmonella vacced. :D

Or mine! We seem to survive.

Agreed a new home for our c0ckerel today. He's a big lad and good at his job, but our ladies are on the small side and don't need his attentions.;)

Last week, one of our hens laid two eggs inside 24 hours, which isn't hanging about for a free-ranger.

I eat at least 20 eggs a week so if it's bad cholesterol I'm in trouble.

I only do that if they don't sell, which is rare now that we are in full swing again. After the winter lay-off, (pun intended) it can be tricky getting customers back into the habit of looking & stopping. People are not accustomed to things like variable supply these days. :(

However, there really is no substitute. The eggs lir & I sell will beat anything you'll find in the shops. :A

Just checked the website, this was us .
We used to get weird isolates such as Salmonella zanzibar with seagulls as the vector.

Scotland was a real hotspot at one point for diverse salmonellas but the real problem they suspected was the transatlantic flights flights dumping faeces (yeah, I know) and hugging the land in case of engiine failure. The flight paths across the Atlantic take in Scotland, Iceland, etc. as the people of Lockerbie know all too well.:(

To this day I don't look up if a plane's flying over me!

There are threads about too many eggs ... what to do.

You could make/sell pickled eggs from them.
