Sunday lunch today was: 1 garlic & coriander naan bread from Aldi (those vacuum bags, good for about 6 weeks). Top that with one chilli, 3 tiny tomatoes, some grated cheese. Nuke for 2 minutes.
Time to make/cook: 4 minutes
Cost: 50p.
I'll probably have that for tea later too.0 -
We have had a pretty good day here weather wise, and just enough Jubilee participation to suit us.
We had a great nephew of almost 3 staying with us (and his mum) for a couple of nights so we had a little red white and blue themed BBQ with him yesterday and put up trimmings. He visited Peppa Pig world but was most taken with collecting eggs from our chooks and scootering up and down the path.
DD's pony has bunting above her stable, the dog has a squeaky union jack bone, we have a string of bunting up to see as you look through from the road and a flag hanging from the hedge.
This morning there was a service of thanksgiving in a marquee on the rec in between us and our partner village,I was surprised by how moved I felt, followed by opening of a refurbished sports pavillion. Brownies, guides and the British Legion carried standards. Then Pimms and a wander around 'stalls'.
Tonight the marquee holds a party with a Big Band. We had not thought this was something we would especially mark, so we did not get tickets.
Tomorrow the chap who 'won' my old car on ebay is coming to pick it up. It did well, beyond our expectations. I hope it is going to a good home.0 -

My mother brought a hamper. I might not have to cook until autumn, Dh had a huge and bizzarre supper from the hamper, no theme at all to what went on his plate.0 -

I like phallic sausage. I have never had a square one, and i hate sausage casserole.
I believe you're right. I once worked in a samonella lab and the mere mention of eggs gets my attention straight away! It's debatable how much of the cholesterol in an egg contribut es to your own cholesterol.
I could eat a three- egg omelette at the drop of a hat and when I was in a flash restaurant.
I once ordered one instead of a steak to the horror of my fellow-diners. Actually it wasn't a flash restaurant but a casino. If you ever get the chance to eat in one they're great as the food's excellent and the price is peanuts as they don't want gamblers to leave the premises.:D
Just don't gamble! It's the one vice I don't have! Well maybe I do , but I've no intention of finding out. There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
I eat at least 20 eggs a week so if it's bad cholesterol I'm in trouble.0

I've never been in a casino. They don't have any that I am aware of (probably in my whole county) where I live. I did live in a town 2-3 years ago where there was a casino, but nobody ever said "Hey, come to this casino thing" and it's not somewhere I'd have gone in alone to see what it was like.... clutching two £1 coins...0 -
