Whatever happens, I will be standing there, stiff upper lip, in my raincoat, spatula in hand!0 -
Agree. Then start your speech with.
Bride asked to vet this speech before hand. *discard paper, fish in pocket, get out second speech*...
Good idea! Second speech to start with "tradition demands that a best man speech should consist of half an hour of embarrassing and insulting the best man. I have decided to break with tradition by spending half an hour embarrassing and insulting the bride and bridesmaids..."0 -

Good man wheezy, we do not negotiate with terrorists, rogue states, or the british weather. We shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, in the fields and on the patio, spatula in hand!0 -
It's overcast, cool, grey and very damp here today.0

It's overcast, a little chilly and slightly damp here today....had lots of rain overnight though.
Think ex is a little annoyed with me, the boys have seen the current films at cinemas they want to see (or youngest is too young to see some that are on) and his other great idea, I have already taken them to about 3 years ago!
Apparently, I am making things difficult...it's not my blooming fault they have friends, school outings, one is under 15 and I have looked out all the cheap days out in the vicinity to keep them occupied in the long summer holidays in years gone past is it!We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

I like it when people are optimistic :beer:Whatever happens, I will be standing there, stiff upper lip, in my raincoat, spatula in hand!
Quite right. As long as the food is cooked ok, rain shouldn't spoil a good time :jchewmylegoff wrote: »Good idea! What is the point if you can't be yourself? It's pretty insulting that she wants to vet your speech. They picked you, don't hold back0 -
