I hate it when you go into the shops 10 minutes before closing and there's still tons of food on the shelves that needed to be shifted today and not a sniff of a reduction... you know they won't be reducing it soon too and it'll just get lobbed. I've seen that a load of times. Or, a whole pile of stuff that's been reduced by 20p on a £2-3 original price.... and never reduced further.0

That's true, but another question is whether any infinite series of digits will also appear at some point in pi? Worrying about that sort of question is how mathematicians come up with different sorts of infinity. Lydia will be along in a minute to explain it.
If we assume that pi continues infinitum then the answer shortens to:
infinity divided by infinity = ??
The general view is that the answer is infinity, so the answer to your question is "yes".I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. There we go, six digits then!:T
Anyway, anybody else unable to find theirs?
Does anyone agree with this analysis:-
If I start with an 8-digit date of birth, the 1.25m digits of pi on the website effectively provide 1.25m 8-digit sequences to check it against (well, 1.25m - 7). The chance of any one of those sequences NOT equalling my 8 digit date date of birth = 99,999,999/100,000,000 and the chance of all 1.25m sequences NOT equalling my date of birth = 98.8% (with about a 1% chance of finding my date of birth).
OTOH if I just input a 6 digit date of birth, the chance of finding it is 72%. For 5 digits, it is 99.9996%, although it is a simple matter of fact whether or not all 100,000 possible 5 digit sequences are included within the first 1.25m digits of pi.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Top tip: Put the cardboard cover back on again to catch any splashes from where you have stabbed the plastic covering - saves cleaning the microwave so often. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

You know, in general i think waitrose cakes that i have tried have been somewhat...ordinary, with a tendency to be dry. I understand the cupcakes and fairy cakes are good though, and i think the pastries are good.
Waitrose curry is about the best lunch out going imo. Its veg heavy, tasty if not a taste sensation, and a good amount. Some tescos have stopped doing the curry, so i hope that they are not phasing them out altogether. A new one opened near here recently at it has a cafe but no curry, rather sandwiches and soup type things. I had a horrid over priced sandwhich and something there, and dh got his cake free because it was the last slice of a loaf and they don't sell the. 'crusts' so gifted it instead.0 -

Is there an old-fashioned, old-lady-run, WI-style, cafe in the Cathedral? Top tip when visiting Cornwall is to go into Truro Cathedral's cafe.... it's brilliant. Cheap, good range, served by little old ladies, lots of room/big tables... and not many people know it's there.
For an MSE-style lunch in St Ives, I'd suggest being served by the people with learning disabilities in the Zion Community Church, beside the intriguingly named Salubrious Place, TR26 1HE.
There's a place in Falmouth too ....
These are cheap, old-fashioned church-style tea/cake/simple meals places... usually priced at £3-4 for a meal.0
