Trying to make sense of a takeaway menu ..... just reading it, not going to go....

It says they have a half price offer at lunchtime, eating in only. So, my meal would be £7.60/2 = £3.80. Very tempting.... Then there's another clause that eating in has a minimum charge of £9.50/person. So I wonder if that applies to lunchtime, it wouldn't make sense would it.

At £9.50 for a £7.60 sit down meal at other times .... they'll not be getting my custom!! It's already costing £1.10 more than the takeaway price. How bizarre.

Ring up and negotiate a deal! :)
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

They're furren... I struggle to place an order with furren people over phones :)

Face to face is comical... I go in and say "Hello, takeaway please" and they get their little pen ready ... and I say "one chicken ...." and they write it down and poise for the rest... and then I say "that's it".

Was there a crowd? Generally its the people that create the atmosphere.

A friend of a friend's daughter is running near Hatfield today and loads of friends are going to support so I'm sure they will have an atmosphere. She's also a runner with a story, so will gain support.

    How are the walls looking?

We have moved stuff mainly into one room. Looks very like a junk shop or a serious hoarders house. Just the dog sofas and kitchen table and fridge (dh cannot move three other pieces alone, so will have to ask the builders to move them:o

Have been reminded how dog hair and filth gets under and behind things. Almost a good enough reason not to have animals...almost.

So, just a few more things to move then seal up a cupboard door with duct tape and we are done for this weekend.

Not sure how long it will take to make the temp kitchen good, but imagine we will be moving as much stuff next weekend, lol.

I know when clotted cream is sent through the post they pack it inside polystyrene to try to keep it cool long enough to arrive.
