Never had a marrow? What could be less posh?

I love stuffed marrow. I like most squash tbh.

What can be grown in really narrow raised flower beds? By really narrow, I'm talking 2-3 inches wide. After my bizzy lizzies got blighted last year, I've delayed getting anything this year, but they do look empty.

I think they're the kormas of the vegetable kingdom TBH.

Scotch eggs, I can't eat. Yeah, I know, I know, supposedly Scottish, and all but they're as Scottish as Mars bars are Martian. Eggs are for omelettes or maybe fried for breakfast, but hard-boiled is an abomination.
How many NPs would it take to finish a munchybox? I can put the feedback on with the best of them but even I'd reckon I'd met my match there.

They didn't have marrow at school dinners - and my parents didn't grow/eat marrows. Hence: no exposure to marrows.

Also, it's not something you'd often see on any menu .... and when faced with a menu I'm sure we'd all agree we'd choose something we like and not take a random chance on something new.

As for buying/trying one on my own.... there's no incentive. It's not like they make exciting looking dishes in recipes do they ..... and so there's already plenty of great food in the world without taking chances on something that's HUGE enough to feed 200 people.

    You could try a courgette.

Scotch eggs don't have to be hard-boiled... if you can get the knack of managing to cook them so they can be peeled, then cooking them again inside the meaty stuff.... then you can get one with a runny yolk.

Indeed... it's the model that's interesting: meat surrounding something.... so you could put mushy peas in the middle .... Scotch Peas!

Edit: Then there's this slight variation that caught my eye http://leaandjay.wordpress.com/2012/01/23/deviled-scotch-eggs/
    and this one http://foodblogandthedog.wordpress.com/2011/11/24/indian-spiced-scotch-egg-with-curry-mayo-and-turmeric-potatoes/
or shove it in a pasty http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/11692/scotch-egg-pasties
