Little gem lettuce are brilliant. One salads worth of letutuce in a crisp sweet head.

I couldn't eat a whole one... not overly keen on lettuce as it's a waste of space where chips could have gone... also, they're often sold in packs of 3. I fancy, one day, growing one in a pot and just taking 2-3 leaves when needed (3-4x a month probably).

I am seriously worried about my sanity. I have two of the new google tablets on order. One with google and one with Currys (with free delivery, quidco and a 5% off voucher). This is something that I have managed without perfectly well. Why am I getting sucked into the hype? The tablet has now reached over 5000 degrees on HUKD.

What's so great about the google tablet?

    Will I want one? :D

Probably three... so those who only ordered two feel they missed out.

I think you only need one. Two are only needed if you are a member of the Secondary Heads Association (past president Zaphod Beeblebrox).

Seriously, I have no clue why I ordered one, let alone two. (Well, the second one is so that I can cancel the first one.) They are some sort of Android device, but severely handicapped through not having a micro-SD port according to HUKD.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Two old ladies sit down at an outdoor cafe and start eating their sandwiches. The waitress comes up and says "You can't eat your own food here, you know". So, the two ladies swap sandwiches.... :)

No idea ..... but it's over 5000 degrees, so must be a bargain.

As you mentioned no running water before I hope that little lot came in plenty of plastic bags....
So... everything's done now and I'm sitting with all jobs completed in the corner of a very wet and windy field deep in the lanes of nowhere....

I stopped off at Asda/Aldi and splashed out on some great junk food... so, I don't HAVE to move for days if I don't want to. I am the proud owner of pizza, naan breads, assorted cake bars, loads of chocolate fingers, cheese/tomatoes, cheese topped baps, crumpets, 18 packets of crisps, a pot of nice sandwich filler, a tin of baked beans, one egg and half a jar of coffee... (when I can find that).

    :)

    It's great...

Water's on/works. All mod cons. All sorted.....

I told you HUKD was dangerous, luckily I have no money otherwise it would be so hard to resist...however I don't want a 7 inch tablet, I have a netbook and the 1024x600 resolution makes browsing the web a nightmare so anything smaller would be impossible.

No..... I'll be buying a house in the next 1-3 years, once I've found somewhere I want to be.... and I don't know where that is until I've tried out a new area (or two).

I've got a few bob tucked away, I'll be paying cash on a bijou house at some future point... some nice, little, modern thing.

That's fine, it was worth a go at getting another mortgage cleared in exchange for not a lot, needless to say at less than market rent.

GL on finding a new home Pastures

ETA: Why's the NPT been so quiet today?
