James has his 6th form prom tonight.....he decided to dress as an individual, weirdly, it works in some really strange way.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

I'll warn the authorities to look out for the anti-canine activities of the pyrotechnic puppy-haters amongst Balotelli's BlueShirts,

Moving tomorrow... it's got no water, so I'll need a jug.

Pastures, are you looking for a long term let (as in 25 years).

I'm happy to mortgage one for you for the mortgage and 3% interest on a 25% deposit if you are.

You've been through enough, and NP need to help other NP!

I'm clearly the odd one out, then. I didn't really notice much difference moving from Office 2003 to 2007 and then 2010 at work. I had 2003 at home for ages, but switched to 2007 when I found a disk for it among LNE's possessions, so as to be more compatible with work. I love it that the 2010 files can still be read by the 2007 software.

I've never liked Word, and I only do simple things with it. I like Excel and PowerPoint, though. If I want a table, I do it in Excel and then paste it into Word, or else it usually ends up going wrong. If I want a drawing, I do it in PowerPoint and paste it into Word as a picture rather than a drawing object, or else it always ends up going wrong. At work, my mark book (including reports) and lesson planning are all on Excel, and my macros for internal exam results are used by lots of other departments as well as my own. I've just been using it to sort out the lab allocations and physics set lists for next year's timetable, too.

I've used Open Office at a previous job. The word processing bit of it did everything I usually get Word to do, but the spreadsheet bit was useless to me, because I write macros a lot. Even for things that are so simple that macros aren't necessary, I often make extensive use of Alt-Enter to put things on different lines within the same cell, which Open Office can't do.

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
    :)
