You really ought to stop reading 50 Shades of grey0 -

No only do the Lords need reform, Parliament also needs reform, with the ones that are doing no good to go. Starting with the top, and working down IYSWIM
Communism is the way forward (and I never thought I'd say that)
communism never has and never will be anything other than a theoretical concept you can read about in a book. all states which are and have been described as communist are just dictatorships/despotisms.
democracy/capitalism/corporatism appears to be the least bad system because at least you are allowed to moan about the people at the top messing everything up and lining their own pockets, whereas in other systems you get thrown in jail / shot in the face for complaining about it.0 -

our centre backs were really good, but they were also very lucky that ballotelli was the worst player on the pitch.
Young was dire for the whole tournament.
Milner has been ok, & had to cover for Johnson's lack of positional awareness.
Parker should have been changed for Jones imo, rather than Henderson. Did he actually touch the ball?
In other news, Rooney shouldn't have walked back into the team...It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
No, but I'm off to see it in person tonight
No sign of £5 tickets, so have stretched to £12. Should have chosen something else though if I could have watched it for free from the comfort of home!
The experience of seeing it live is so different from a flat screen.
How was it? Did you enjoy? Where were you sat? & would you go to see other productions?
I really hope you liked it.:)It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

There is a picture of me wearing something seemingly very similar in 1946.
What goes around comes around?
I'm sure it did not cost anything like a weeks wages let along a month - perhaps it was inherited, dad's 1918 version perhaps?, because everything would have been on rationing coupons back then.0 -

Hello!
Yes, I did enjoy it. Though it was very well done. I was sat in the stalls - initially behind a pillar as I bought a cheap restricted view seat (didn't think it would be quite so restricted!). Most of the rest of the row was empty so I moved when I was sure no-one else would be coming in - much better. That was my first time at the RST since it was refurbished, its very different now!
And yes, I'll be looking out for other things to go and see. I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for the mythical £5 tickets0 -

milner was diabolical in every game in my view, offered absolutely nothing going forwards, crosses never beat the first man, gave the ball away more noticably than any other player (which is pretty criminal for a player who is supposed to really be a central midfielder). the fact that he offered no tangible attacking threat meant that the opposing left back could always get forwards rather than needing to think about defending first, and attacking second.
should have bought jagielka on for parker, henderson was a big bag of rubbish. rooney as usual was just marked out of the game as usual at this level.
all in all i thought we did pretty well considering that we didn't have a great team, and our bench horrifically weak. at times it was almost pleasant to watch (obviously only for short periods...), and it looked like the players actually cared and didn't all hate each other.0 -
Mostly packing ... well, mostly thinking about it .... I've done it so many times recently and I never was interested .... 2 more moves in the next 8 days...
Decided to have an egg roll for lunch... but the rolls were dotted with mould, so they went in the bin and I had an egg.0 -

I still use ancient Appleworks 6 for spreadsheets and databases and the next time I upgrade I won't be able to run it.
Every updated version of Word and Excel seems more and more complicated and user-hostile and seems to be bloated with extras I never need.
I doubt I ever need anything from Word that I can't get from Word 5.1. But hey, the shiny new version's always the only way to go.:(There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0
