I need decorating advice on the downstairs loo. It's quite long and narrow, with a white tile floor, and white loo and basin. It has a small window, so not very light. At the moment, I am thinking of painting it brilliant white, so perhaps somebody should stop me now.
I've already bought a white wooden slatted venetian blind to go over the end wall where the window is. That's mainly to hide the wire to the burglar alarm, so it would only be lowered a small amount.
Any suggestions, please?
What period is your house. In hamstead i paired white tiles, slate floor with eau de nile walls in the bathroom, It looked beautiful in the edwardian house.0 -

yeah, bow tie, shorts, and thick rimmed black glasses with no glass in them --- not quite the look i'm going for.
Yummy jacket!
You'll have to be part of the smart jeans, brown shoes brigade.
I'd put it with a pale, neutral coloured shirt (like the lining, but paler) and a really pale tie, maybe in the very pale blue that runs though the jacket.
lots of jackets and ties on this:

i have no idea on the trousers. it doesn't look good with either dark or faded jeans, and i'm not going out in red flannel trousers which seem to be all the rage at the moment!
footwear...dark brown brogues, or black chelsea boots i expect, because that's all i own.
Linen in a decent wight and a muted colour then. Brown footwear, ( appropriate if 'going ratcatcher' in the tweed, and if that stripe in the jacket is blue i thenk i would go blue shirt. Especially if you have blue eyes.0 -

There can be nothing worse than going out of your way to get on with a task early, that turns out to be a problem due to various procedures/rules etc then to update distant siblings... only to receive an email back saying you should have made a fuss, spoken to a manager... etc etc.... yeah, way to make me tell you !!!! all about progress/tasks/updates in future.0

I've never been anywhere posh - and I won't go.... on the basis you have to wear special clothes, that I wouldn't have, I'd not want to spend days/weeks sourcing them at great expense, in the knowledge I won't be going anywhere posh again so won't be wearing them again. It's easier to say "No".0
