I'd like to read that. I've heard of it but it's not currently translated into English. I think I'd struggle to read it in French. I've started reading Asne Seirstadt's A Hundred and One Days about her time in Baghdad. She writes beautifully, and I have for a long time wanted to read her book the Angel of Grozny, which will have to act as my alternate until an English imprint is available.

She's so talented at just about everything!

She's back in Grozny, setting up a Chechen Cultural Centre in Moscow. I know that Chechens are described as Muslim Extremists in the press, but a lot of them are lovely people!

Walcott also came through the Saints trainng academy so he is obviously a good guy ;)

We have polished marble 600 square 18 thick carrera marble in our bathroom except for the wetroom bit which has these but in 2 inch not 1 inch mosaic marble pieces which came unsealed but we just applied some sealer which probably needs reapplying every 6 months. It came on a mesh but did have room for grout. I will try and do a photo tomorrow.
    I think....

We have got the first of probably many University open days booked....going by train as it works out cheaper than taking the car and paying for fuel/parking (and a lot less stressful for me!)

Thankfully, my parents are home that weekend and (to my shock), said they could look after the other two boys for the day.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

I would caution against driving yourself mad with open days. Bottom line is all universities have loads of 18 year olds running round, getting drunk, learning to fend for themselves. Find the course that is right is more important.

If there's other mums/dads it can be cheaper and less hassle if you can coordinate and share lifts. Especially if you're taking in distant places. We managed to visit Leeds and Sheffield in one big trip with shared driving.

What would they cope with best? Big city or small town/rural campus?

Finding the right course is the key though, as silvercar says.:)
